WE HAD SUCCESSFULLY INFILTRATED THE PRISON, after breaking in and taking fire nation guard uniforms we snuck into the facility in disguise as guards
Although, since Sokka only hijacked men uniforms— I was stuck with a lanky uniform that barely fit
"Sokka, couldn't you have stopped by to steal a girls uniform?," I looked down at my clothing, "I can barely keep this on"
Zuko wanted to laugh at how poorly the uniform fit me loosely, " at least now they really won't know who you are."
"It's all I could find. We just need to lay low and find my dad as soon as possible" Sokka spoke quietly.
"Guards!"
I looked up, seeing a series of guards run past us .
"There's a scuffle in the yard. Come on"
The three of us moved to follow the guards to the commotion where we saw all the prisoners gathered in a circle, surrounding a prisoner and a guard.
My mind was fully blown at how many prisoners the fire nation had held captive.
"I didn't do anything! I'm going back to my cell"
"Stop right there, Chit Sang" The guard threw a whip of fire at the prisoner.
I felt Zuko move forward before I instinctively grabbed his arm to stop him. He turned around, seeing me silently. "You'll blow our cover" I whispered. As much as I know Zuko would and could beat that guard down, it's way too reckless. He's just going to have to keep his anger down
Zuko understood, halting back like I told him too as I took my hand away. Internally, my heart was thumping and I was shaking at the fact that I was a few feet away from him
And on top of that, I cant believe he let me touch him like that
"I've had it with your unruly behaviour" The guard continued.
"What did I do?" Chit Sang asked.
"He wants to know what he did," The guard laughed as he faced the three, "Isn't that cute?"
A moment of silence passed as me, Sokka and Zuko were unsure of what to do. The guard sent them a suspicious look prompting Zuko to reply, "Uh, very cute, sir." Sokka nodded, "Super cute"
"Cutest thing ever" I added.
Cutest thing ever? Let me go drown now
"You didn't bow down when I walked by, Chit Sang." The guard taunted as he walked towards the prisoner. "What? That's not a prison rule" Chit Sang argued.
"Do it!"
"Make me"
The guard pretended to walk away before firing another blast at Chit Sang, who managed to block it and redirect it back. The guard broke the fire with a kick, giving him a condescending smile.
