Sitting in front of the vanity while wearing her dress that was made for her with the help of the knight enchanter. Sirena watched as Maryanne put her in a half up half down hair style. The front part of her hair was twisted towards the back where they meet in the middle where there were small flowers as decoration while the rest of her blonde locks were in spiral curls. It reminded her of the days when she was in high school getting ready for homecoming. It brought back a lot of good memories for her. The woman who helped dressed her hair up did her make up as well in a natural look. Her lips were tinted a slightly darker pink than her natural soft pink.
The outlander knew the others had left the manor that they were staying at which was offered by the duke. As soon as she was ready, the young blonde woman had slipped on her silver heals then gave the woman who helped her a nod and a smile. Not knowing the protocol, the American didn't know if she was allowed to tag along as a companion. Was that even a thing in Thedas? Did they do things differently from what her world did in history to protect a maiden's virtue? Granted, she was no maiden, but no one knew that. It made her hesitant in what she was supposed to do.
"Have fun, Lady Sirena!" Her lady-in-waiting said when she sensed the girl's befuddlement. At least she didn't make a fool of herself. Sort of. Slowly, the outlander made her way out of her room and down the wooden hallway that had a blue runway. As she walked, she noticed multiple portraits of whom she assumed were the past and current family members. That was quite normal amongst the royal and noble families for they were the ones who were able to afford it since it was quite costly to have them painted and framed. Once she made it to the stairs, her eyes caught sight of someone who looked like they were waiting on someone.
"Well, my dear, don't just stand there; we are already fashionably late!" Sirena's eyes widened in astonishment from seeing a certain someone. Slowly, the American descended down the stairs. As she got closer to Vivienne, she noticed that the older woman was also wearing a dress, though, hers was mostly grey with some silver floral accents, the skirt clearly had a green silk underskirt with a grey tulle over it. Needless to say, but it was quite a lovely dress and it complimented the woman fairly well.
"Sorry, I wasn't expecting anyone to accompany me." The girl admitted sheepishly as she got the hint to make her way out of the duke's manor. Not even able to see the look that that she was given by the one who had helped her; Vivienne followed the younger lady out.
"Of course, I'd come with you darling! Think of this like it's your debut to the society." In Sirena's opinion, Vivienne sounded way too happy about the subject. Once she was outside with the knight enchanter, her steps carried her towards the horse drawn carriage she was to be riding in apparently with the older woman. In a way, the younger one felt relief that she wasn't going alone. She would have felt awkward and would lack confidence.
After they had settled into the carriage, Vivienne tapped on the roof of their transportation to let the driver know they were good to go. Soon, the girl felt the thing move with a jolt. Her eyes glanced around to look at the interior. The walls were royal blue velvet with satin gold curtains covering the windows. Due to the duke being rich, the seats of course, were made of leather. As she tried to distract herself, she felt the carriage run into many bumps on the dirt road which caused the twenty-three-year-old to get jostled around. It definitely wasn't like riding in a car which was much smoother, not to mention, it was also safer in a way even though people got into collisions all the time. There she was, experiencing the life nobles and royalty had when it came to traveling back in the historic times. Silently, she wrung her hands out of nervousness for she had no idea what to expect which was odd for she had played the game multiple times but it'd be different for she'd actually be there. With a hint of boredom, the American moved the curtain to the side to get a glimpse outside; not too far in the distance, her eyes caught sight of the place, or what she assumed to be the palace which she was heading towards.
