[A/N; Tis Murdurn' time]

"I'll be fine C, no worries."

The guests for the banquet are Irene Diaz, an opera singer, with her boyfriend/theater producer Grimsby Keane, Karl Woodley, a diamond dealer, Patrick Phelps, Lau with Ran-Mao by his side, and a Sir Arthur

In the lobby, guests are politely chatting as they wait for their benefactor. Arthur runs into Lau, and makes small talk. Lau describes Ciel as a scary person, conjuring images of weird, old, pirate-like men, without mentioning Ciel's age. Arthur is surprised to learn that Ciel is a child. He politely greets all the guests, and thanks them for coming to his home. As Ciel mentions that the guest of honor isn't here yet, Mey-Rin comes, announcing the arrival of a guest. Georg von Siemens and Charles Grey enter, and they are all introduced, except for Mr. Arthur. Dejected, the author/dentist sits down when Sebastian comes up to him, and he admires him for a minute. Ciel Phantomhive takes the seat next to him, and they talk. Arthur is pleasantly surprised to find that the Earl, even though he is a noble, read his work. Ciel comments on how if you are famous, everyone will continuously praise you as opposed to when you are unknown and talented. Grimsby barges on their conversation, remarking about how true what the Earl said was, and asks if one day they could work together, to which Ciel responds, "Right...one day."

"Sir, let go..!"

Across the room, a yelp is heard as _______ asks Sir Georg to stop acting indecently towards them, which leads him to harass them further. ________ reacts by pulling away from him, and Georg is about to throw a glass of alcohol at her. Ciel blocks his servant with his own body, and tells them that is enough. Grimsby becomes angry with Georg's crass behavior, however, and throws a bottle at Georg, but Sebastian flies through the air and uses the bottle make a pyramid of glasses pouring wine. Everyone's moods are lifted. Irene attempts to praise Sebastian, which might show some interest on her part, but Sebastian is too busy with Ciel to bother with her. Grimsby becomes slightly jealous of Irene's fascination.

While drying him with a towel, Sebastian and Ciel make small talk in French. They make fun of the man, and when Arthur laughs at his joke, Ciel puts his finger to his lip, signaling "shush," showing a slightly playful side. Under that however, there's resentment and irritation boiling in him. At the man who dared to even harass his beloved. But he supposes he'll have to let it slide, for now....

Ciel's eyes narrow with a mixture of anger and protectiveness as he witnesses the interaction between __________ and Sir Georg. He can't bear the thought of _________ being harassed or harmed in any way, and he reacts swiftly, placing himself between them and Georg. His voice carries a steely edge as he firmly tells them that enough is enough.

The tension in the room dissipates slightly when Grimsby throws a bottle at Georg, leading to a display of skill and precision from Sebastian as he creates a pyramid of glasses pouring wine. The atmosphere lightens, but Ciel's focus remains on ______, his concern evident in his eyes.

As Sebastian dries him with a towel, Ciel engages in small talk with him in French, their words laced with a hint of playfulness. It's a brief moment of respite amidst the chaos, a moment where Ciel can let his guard down ever so slightly.

But underneath that playful facade, Ciel's resentment and irritation towards Sir Georg simmer. He knows that he will have to handle the situation with caution, as the stakes are higher than they appear. ____________'s safety is paramount, and he won't let anyone harm them without consequences.

Underneath it all, however, the irritation and resentment still linger in Ciel's heart, a brewing storm that threatens to consume him. But for now, he tucks it away, focusing on the task at hand and the safety of those he cares for. As the evening wears on, Ciel maintains a vigilant eye, ensuring the security of his guests while navigating the web of social intricacies. Deep within him, the fire of determination and the desire for retribution burn ever brighter, promising that no harm will befall _____________ under his watchful gaze. Georg has fallen asleep, and Ciel says it must be his bedtime too. He leaves with Sebastian, who carries Georg on his back. Sebastian lightly jokes to Ciel how he's only a child when it's convenient, much to Ciel's annoyance. Later on, while the servants are cleaning up, Georg rings for one of the servants to go to his room.

"He's dead!"

Mey-Rin, __________ and Sebastian go to Georg's room, where they hear something break and then piercing screams. Sebastian breaks open the door, and Georg is dead, his head tilted and his arm dangling off the chair he was sitting in. Arthur bursts through the crowd, examines the body, and declares, 'He's dead!'

After they examine Georg' corpse, they conclude that he died from blood loss because of the fatal wound on his chest. They begin to move the body to the cellar before its rots until the Yard shows up. Lau then comments on how they may be there for quite a while seeing as there is a storm outside. Karl complains that he doesn't want to stay where a murder took place but Lau says that it's fine since they were all supposed to stay the night. It is then realized that because of the storm, there is a good chance that the killer is one of them.

Irene then comments on that since the door to the room was locked, the killer broke in through the window. Charles says that if the killer came in through the window they would leave footprints because of the rain. Along with that fact that the room is on the second floor and the window was locked. It is then believed that the killer locked both the window and door from the hallway but this would be unlikely because all the keys to the mansion are in Sebastian's possession and only he knows where they are stored. Since the keys couldn't have been stolen and there is a possibility of locking the room from the inside, it is then concluded that this was a locked room murder.

"Tsk..." ___________ looks disgusted, not really scared but more inconvenienced as they know how this will play out, unfortunately. Ciel's eyes narrow as the chilling realization sets in. The tight knot of tension that had momentarily loosened now tightens once more. The atmosphere within the room grows heavy with the weight of suspicion and uncertainty.

"A locked room murder," he murmurs, his voice laced with a mix of intrigue and concern. "This is becoming more intriguing by the moment."

He turns his attention to the rest of the guests, studying their reactions carefully. Suspicion swirls in the air, a sense of tension and fear hanging over them.

"Sebastian, inform the Yard of the situation," Ciel commands with a tone of authority.

As the storm rages outside, Ciel's mind races, considering every possible scenario and suspect. He knows that the answer lies within the confines of the mansion, and he is determined to solve the mystery.

"Everyone, we will have to remain calm and cooperative during this investigation," he announces, his voice steady and resolute. "The killer is among us, and it is our duty to find them. Sebastian, I want you to help lead the investigation. Keep a close eye on everyone and gather any information you can. ________, Mey-Rin, assist Sebastian as needed. We will get to the bottom of this."

Though his heart beats with a mix of apprehension and excitement, Ciel masks his emotions behind a façade of cool composure. He is the Queen's Watchdog, after all, and this is just another challenge he must face with unwavering determination.
