Ciel's eyes widen as Jeremy reveals the identity of the killer, a snake. The pieces start to fall into place, and the realization sends a chill down his spine. The idea of a trained snake being used for murder is both horrifying and intriguing, a testament to the cunning nature of the culprit.
"A Black Mamba," Ciel muses, his mind racing to process the new information. He had heard of their deadly reputation and their ability to climb trees with ease. It is a chilling thought—the idea that someone would go to such lengths to carry out these murders.
"But who would have the knowledge and capability to train a snake in such a manner?" Ciel's voice is filled with a mix of curiosity and determination. "We must find the one responsible for unleashing this killer upon us."
As Jeremy reveals the truth behind the murders and identifies one of the culprits as a Black Mamba snake, a hushed silence falls over the dining room. Ciel's eyes widen in disbelief, processing the information he has just learned. The realization that an animal has been the instrument of death fills him with a mix of horror and fascination. The atmosphere within the room becomes heavy with tension as the gravity of the situation sinks in. Ciel's mind races, calculating the implications of this revelation. A snake could strike anyone, regardless of their strength or defenses. It was a cunning choice for a killer, one that targeted vulnerability and spread fear among the inhabitants of the mansion.
As the realization settles in, Ciel knows that he must remain calm and gather his wits. He takes a deep breath, his voice steady as he addresses Jeremy and the others. "Thank you, 'Jeremy', for your insights," Ciel begins, his voice projecting confidence and determination. "We may have found the one responsible, but we must remain vigilant. It is clear that our lives are still at risk." With the knowledge of the true nature of their enemy, they are one step closer to achieving their goal of survival and uncovering the dark secrets of the mansion. Arthur then says that importing poisonous snakes is illegal and to be able to get it here means the person would have to have close connections with an African business. Karl is the first suspect for the killer, but he says that he has an alibi for when Georg was killed. However, Jeremy says that an alibi wouldn't help his case, because the corpse of Georg wasn't actually a corpse. Georg drank a liquid similar to what Juliet drank in Romeo and Juliet to reach a state of apparent death.
Jeremy then reveals that Georg drank the liquid and faked his death, but was also stabbed to death. Arthur then proposes the idea that the killer was trying to lure the Earl into a trap. He proposes that when Sebastian was changing the coke in the hearths he found the evidence, and to prevent his alibi from going up in smoke, Karl killed Sebastian and returned to his room. After going through the ashes, Grimsby find glass shards. Jeremy then puts them together, which looked like an ampule of medicine. Ciel then reveals Karl's motive: a top secret plan for a major company in the diamond industry and Ciel's company, Funtom Corporation, that possesses the leading technology were to cooperate. However, with the death of the president it was put on hold, and if it were to be put into motion the Karl Company would receive some damage. To prevent this, Karl decided to target Ciel. Charles then arrests Karl.
After solving the case, everyone returns home. As Arthur is leaving, "Jeremy" comes up to him to thank him for solving the case. Jeremy then thanks Arthur, in French, for taking care of the Young Master. Arthur yells at the carriage driver to return to the mansion. He goes back to confirm the truth, rushing into the manor and freezing under the staircase staring up at the Earl, Lumine and "Jeremy". "Jeremy" then reveals himself to be Sebastian the whole time. Nothing that really surprises the earl and servant, but definitely surprising Sir Arthur.
As the truth unfolds and Sebastian makes his presence known, a mix of emotions washes over Ciel. The earl's usually reserved and composed demeanor cracks for a moment, a glimmer of amusement seeping into his usually stoic expression. He locks eyes with Sebastian, a mixture of dismissiveness and amusement shining in his eyes.
"__________, I suppose you were already aware of this all along," Ciel says, his voice laced with a playful tone. _________shakes their head with an exhausted but amused sigh. "I'm sooo done with you two." Ciel's gaze then turns to Sir Arthur, whose eyes widen in shock and disbelief. The sudden revelation leaves him speechless, unable to comprehend that he had been deceived by the very person he had trusted to solve the mystery. Ciel allows himself a small smirk, a taste of victorious satisfaction.
"Sebastian," Ciel addresses the demon butler, "you never cease to surprise with your theatrics. I must admit, it was an ingenious plan, even by your standards."
Sebastian bows gracefully, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "Thank you, Young Master. It was a game I couldn't resist playing."
Ciel's amusement fades just as quickly as it had appeared, replaced by a stern expression as he regains his composure. He turns his attention back to Sir Arthur, his voice firm and commanding.
"Sir Arthur, it seems you have been outplayed. You were so eager to uncover the truth, yet you failed to see the deception right before your eyes. I hope this serves as a lesson to not underestimate those around you."
Sir Arthur stammers, struggling to find words to defend himself. Ciel's gaze remains unwavering, his voice cutting through the air with a hint of superiority.
"But fear not, Sir Arthur. Your services were not in vain. You played your role well, and for that, I commend you. Consider this a lesson in the art of manipulation."
Sebastian's smirk widens, his eyes glimmering with a predatory gleam. "Indeed, Sir Arthur. It is a valuable skill to discern truth from deception. Perhaps you will be more cautious in your future endeavors."
As Ciel and Sebastian revel in their victory, the atmosphere in the mansion shifts. The tension dissipates, replaced by a sense of satisfaction and accomplishment. Ciel's gaze darts to the clock on the wall, noting the late hour.
"Well, it seems our little game has come to an end," Ciel says, his voice tinged with a hint of weariness. "Sebastian, attend to the necessary arrangements. We shall retire for the night."
Sebastian bows once more, his voice dripping with obedience. "Of course, Young Master. Allow me to prepare everything to your satisfaction."
As the two make their way out of the room, Ciel casts one final glance at Sir Arthur, his eyes glinting with a mixture of triumph and warning.
"Remember, Sir Arthur," Ciel says, his voice carrying a weight of finality. "Curiosity may have its rewards, but it can also lead to one's downfall. Choose your paths wisely."
With that, Ciel and Sebastian disappear into the depths of the mansion, leaving Sir Arthur to contemplate the consequences of his actions. The echoes of their footsteps fade into the night, marking the end of a thrilling and dangerous game of deception.
