"I-I'm sorry.."
_______'s voice trembles out her apology, pulling away slightly. Their eyes wavering from looking at Ciel. Finding their actions deplorable, especially with being much older and supposedly more mature. Their hand still gripping tightly onto his shirt, still fearful of the storm.
"I feel really childish, I shouldn't have bothered you. Especially not with my ridiculous fear..." ________ states, but Ciel does not care. Whatever their reasons are, he vows to protect them, be their pillar and shoulder to cry on. It's the least he can do for them, his forever beloved _________. He knows their reactions to storms are tied to the past _______ wishes not to speak of. And he knows all too well of unspeakable pasts, so he dares not ask nor does he wish to undermine their fears. Especially with what they've been saying about chanting and screaming and being locked up somewhere...
Ciel's eyes soften as _______ pulls away slightly, their voice filled with self-blame and regret. He reaches out, gently cupping their face in his hands, his touch tender and comforting.
"______," he says softly, his voice filled with reassurance. "You have nothing to apologize for. Your fears are valid, and I will always be here for you, no matter what. It's not childish to feel afraid, especially when it is tied to something so deeply ingrained in your past."
He brushes away a stray tear that trails down their cheek, his thumb caressing their skin gently "I may not fully understand what you've been through, but I will do everything in my power to protect you. You don't have to face your fears alone. We'll find a way to overcome them somehow."
Ciel's gaze is unwavering as he speaks, his determination shining through. He knows the importance of providing _________ with a safe space, a sanctuary where they can find solace and heal from the wounds of their past. And he is willing to do whatever it takes to ensure her well-being.
"...Remember when I first got here C? I told you I'd gotten dropped here during a rainy day just like this." ________ exclaims, turning their gaze back to the window. Watching the rain with a mix of sadness and longing
"Even if the past does bring me bad memories, like the thunder and the noise I- I can't help but wish a little. I just... Wish the thunder would come to take me back to better times..." ________ laments about their inability to be able to return to their own home still, ________ was never originally from this time, this world. And it wouldn't be a surprise if they were to be saddened with them still being there and not where ______ was.
"I miss that place. I miss the noise of cars and stuff along the roads. I miss the mixed sound of the static on the tv. I miss the scent of cereal and oranges in the morning. I miss the loud groaning of the others and (friend)'s laughter. I miss the sound of my (pet), my (pet's nickname)'s zoomies. I miss.... I miss them..." _______ continues, speaking of what ________ misses. And trailing off at the last part, who does ________ miss? Does ________ have someone to come home to? Is there someone who owns their heart back where they came from?
Ciel listens attentively to ________'s words, his heart aching with the weight of their longing and sadness. He understands the pain of being separated from one's home, the yearning for familiar sights, sounds, and loved ones left behind.
"I know, _________," he responds softly, his voice filled with empathy. "It must be incredibly difficult for you, being away from your home and the people you care about. I can't even begin to imagine how much you must miss them."
His grip on their hand tightens, offering her a silent form of support "But please remember, ______, that you're not alone. You have us, your family here at the manor. We may not be able to replace what you've lost, but we're here for you. And as long as you're with us, you'll never have to face the storms of life alone."
Ciel's eyes meet _________'s, filled with a mixture of determination and a hint of vulnerability.
"And if, one day, you find a way to return to your home, I promise you, I will do whatever it takes to help you get there. Your happiness and well-being are important to me, __________. You deserve to find your way home..."
"Sorry, it's silly. I know. No worries, I'm not losing hope on getting home yet!" _________ reassures, shaking her head as their usual smile returns to their face. "Besides, I've yet to annoy the hell out of you and Sebs!"
______ laughs, hiding their sadness with a practiced smile once again...
