With Ciel and Alois... On their first day at Weston College, Ciel is determined to leave a good impression. However, he and Alois are not only almost late, but he also steps on the lawn, much to the students' shock. When the prefects, known as the P4, arrive, everyone thinks that Ciel will be reprimanded for his misstep, mainly because Edgar Redmond vigorously approaches Ciel. To everyone's surprise, Edgar only wants to straighten Ciel's tie though. He inquires for Ciel and Alois's names, and Herman Greenhill notes that the headmaster mentioned that two new students would be coming to Blue and Red House today. Lawrence Bluewer informs Ciel about the rule to stay off the lawn, and the P4 leaves after Gregory Violet urges them inside to avoid the bright daylight.
Another first-year student from Blue House, McMillan, comes to congratulate Ciel for being spared with impunity after stepping on the lawn. He then explains the system of Weston College and identifies the members of the P4 before they hurry off. They are discussing the other unnamed student's sudden withdrawal and Ciel and Alois's late admission when Clayton arrives and makes everyone line up. Because he is last, Ciel has to polish the prefects' shoes. Afterward, he goes to his welcoming party, which consists of Clayton shoving him onto a sheet which the other boys use to launch him into the air. Before they can do it twice, the new housemaster stops them and introduces himself as Housemaster Michaelis.
The next day, Ciel and Alois head to the headmaster's office to receive their welcome speech, and pledge their obedience to the school's regulations and traditions. Because the headmaster is absent, only the vice headmaster, Johann Agares, and the prefects. After the two Earls sign a book, Ciel asks when he would be able to speak to the headmaster. The prefects inform him that regular students are disallowed from seeing him due to his tight schedule, hence only the prefects may. Ciel and Alois nodded, understanding the rules of Weston College as explained by the prefects. They knew that they had to follow the regulations and traditions set by the school, even if they found them somewhat restrictive.
As they signed the book, Ciel couldn't help but feel a sense of curiosity and determination. He wanted to meet the headmaster, to understand the inner workings of the school and perhaps forge a connection that would benefit him in the future. However, the news that regular students were not allowed to see the headmaster left him slightly disappointed.
"I suppose we'll have to make the most of our interactions with the prefects then," Ciel said, his voice filled with determination. "If they are the only ones who can see the headmaster, then we must prove ourselves worthy of their attention."
Alois nodded enthusiastically, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "Oh, Ciel, we'll show them just how exceptional we are," he declared, his voice filled with excitement. "We'll make such an impression that they won't be able to ignore us."
The prefects watched Ciel and Alois with a mix of curiosity and amusement, impressed by their determination. Johann Agares, the vice headmaster, stepped forward and addressed them with a smile. "I can see that both of you are eager to make your mark here at Weston College," he said, his voice calm yet authoritative. "Remember, the prefects are here to guide and mentor you. They have been entrusted with the responsibility of maintaining order and discipline within the school."
Ciel nodded respectfully, his eyes fixed on Johann. "Understood, Vice Headmaster Agares," he replied, his tone assertive yet polite. "We will do our best to uphold the rules and regulations of Weston College."
Alois, on the other hand, couldn't contain his enthusiasm. "Oh, but we won't just follow the rules, Vice Headmaster," he chimed in, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "We'll surpass everyone's expectations and bring a fresh perspective to this esteemed institution!"
Johann chuckled, his gaze shifting between the two young Earls. "I admire your confidence," he remarked, a hint of amusement in his voice. "Just remember to channel that energy into productive endeavors. Weston College values discipline and excellence above all."
Ciel and Alois exchanged a determined glance, silently reaffirming their commitment to making a lasting impact. They knew that their journey at Weston College wouldn't be an easy one, but they were determined to rise to the challenge.
"We understand the importance of discipline and excellence, Vice Headmaster Agares," Ciel said, his voice filled with a quiet determination. "We will strive to embody those values and prove ourselves worthy of this esteemed institution."
Alois nodded in agreement, his eyes gleaming with determination. "We'll work hard, Vice Headmaster, and make sure that our presence here leaves a lasting impression," he declared, his voice tinged with excitement.
Johann smiled warmly at the young Earls, impressed by their resolve. "I have no doubt that both of you will make your mark here at Weston College," he said, his voice filled with encouragement. "Remember, success is not measured solely by academic achievements but by the impact you have on those around you."
Ciel and Alois exchanged a nod of gratitude before turning their attention to the prefects. They were ready to begin their journey at Weston College, to navigate the complex hierarchy and prove their worth. The road ahead would be challenging, but they were determined to make the most of their time at the esteemed institution.
"Thank you, Vice Headmaster Agares," Ciel said, his voice filled with gratitude.
Alois chimed in, his voice filled with excitement. "We'll make sure to leave a lasting impression on everyone we meet, Vice Headmaster. We won't settle for anything less than excellence."
Johann chuckled, his eyes twinkling with amusement. "I have no doubt that you two will bring a fresh perspective to our school," he said, his voice filled with confidence. "Just remember to balance your enthusiasm with discipline and respect for the traditions that Weston College holds dear."
Ciel nodded, his expression serious. "We understand, Vice Headmaster. We'll strive to uphold the values of this institution while also bringing our own unique contributions."
Alois nodded in agreement, a mischievous smile playing on his lips. "Yes, thank you for your guidance. We'll make sure to leave a lasting impression on everyone here, especially the prefects."
Johann chuckled, his eyes twinkling with amusement. "I have no doubt about that, Earl Trancy," he replied, his tone filled with warmth. "Just remember to balance your ambition with humility and respect for the rules. That will take you far in this institution."
Ciel and Alois nodded, their expressions serious as they absorbed Johann's words. They understood the importance of maintaining a delicate balance between ambition and respect, and they were determined to prove themselves worthy of the opportunities bestowed upon them.
"We will keep your words in mind, Vice Headmaster Agares," Ciel said, his voice steady and resolute. "We appreciate your guidance and will strive to uphold the values of Weston College."
Alois grinned mischievously, his eyes shining with determination. "Oh, we'll uphold the values, alright," he chimed in, his voice filled with confidence. "But we'll also bring our own unique flair to this place. It won't be the same once we're through with it."
