The incident comes to a close, unfortunately, Grelle wasn't killed like Ciel had wanted. But either way, the case had ended with Madame Red's funeral. Her death was covered up with red ruffles, the scent of blood washed away by roses. Ciel doesn't reveal the identity of Jack the Ripper, simply doing as the Queen asked of him. To stop the criminal, but not required to reveal said criminal.

As the head of the Phantomhives, he does not waver. Even when his own kin attempt to rid him of his life. He will continue to persevere against all odds. Until the day his revenge is fulfilled and his demon butler takes his soul. He, Ciel Phatnomhive shall forever be the loyal Watchdog of the Queen. Eradicating all and any who stand in his way. He sits in his study, going through documents to keep his mind occupied and away from the thoughts that plague him. Sebastian and ______ are by his side as always. But he notices something, something off. Strange. _________ has been purposefully avoiding him in a way. More reserved and silent than usual, it irks him. Had he done something? _______'s always so sweet and prone to babbling about whatever is on their mind... He'll have to speak with them privately to figure out. So he orders for Sebastian to go do other things, leaving him and _________ in the silence of his study...

Ciel watches as Sebastian silently exits the study, leaving him alone with _______. The air in the room feels heavy with unresolved tension, and Ciel can't help but feel a mix of curiosity and concern for ______'s sudden change in behavior. He clears his throat, his voice calm yet tinged with a hint of uncertainty.

"______, may I have a moment of your time?" Ciel's eyes search _____'s face, his gaze unwavering. "You've been acting rather distant lately. Is there something bothering you?"

_________ avoids Ciel's gaze, their normally expressive eyes clouded with a heavy weight. _______ shifts uncomfortably and takes a deep breath before finally speaking up. "Sorry I'm all distant and stuff. There is definitely something that has been bothering me, and it has nothing to do with your actions. It's about... well, just me things."

Ciel's eyebrows raise in surprise, his curiosity piqued even further. "Your emotions? What do you mean, _______?"

______'s voice wavers slightly as they continue, trying to find the right words. "Well, it's just... I feel all bad and shit for what happened. It's no one's say what had to happen. But I wished I could've done more..."

_______ sighs, eyes still refusing to meet Ciel's still as they continue to speak "Madame Red... I mean, now that it already ended I suppose I can speak. You already know I have knowledge on future events and such. I thought- well, I had hoped... I hoped I could change the outcome of that event..."

"I could've done more, I could've stopped Grelle from taking her life. But I couldn't, even though I was not supposed to be in the script, and even when it was all going to happen anyways... I still wanted to save her somehow. It's not fair..."

_____ then continues to explain that, without any interferences (aka. them) Madame Red would've died still and maybe a bit earlier. And on how they thought they could turn the tides and change what has happened by interfering. Hoping that maybe, just maybe they could've saved Madame Red's life somehow. But it seemed fate was harder to change than they thought...

"There's so many things I could've done to save her, she was your aunt. One of the people you care about, it would've been fine if she wasn't killed. But damn Grell just took her and left. It seems silly at first, I've known this part for ages. I remember it well, but experiencing it so suddenly? It's horrifying..."

Ciel listens intently as ________ opens up about their feelings of guilt and regret. He can sense the weight of her emotions, the burden _________ carries for not being able to alter the course of events. His voice softens as he responds, his tone filled with understanding.

"_______, it is not your fault. Fate is a cruel mistress, and sometimes no matter how much we wish to change it, certain events are set in stone. We can only do what we believe is right in the given circumstances."

Ciel reaches out and gently places a hand on ______'s shoulder, offering them reassurance. "You did everything you could, ________. You fought bravely and protected me when it mattered most. You should not blame yourself for the outcome. Madame Red's fate was sealed long before we ever crossed paths with her."

He pauses for a moment, searching for the right words to convey his thoughts. "We cannot change the past, _______. But we can learn from it and strive to make a difference in the present. That is what truly matters. And as long as we continue to fight for justice and protect those who need it, we honor the memory of those we have lost."

______'s eyes meet Ciel's, their slightly sharpened gaze softened by vulnerability. "Thanks... Your words mean more to me than you know..."

Ciel's hand lingers on ______'s shoulder, his touch gentle and reassuring. "If there's anything I can do to help, _______, don't hesitate to let me know. We'll figure this out together."

The air in the study shifts, a sense of understanding and support flowing between the two. Ciel's determination to uncover the truth extends not only to his revenge but also to his loyal butler and companion. In that moment, an unspoken bond forms, anchoring them amidst the chaos that surrounds the Phantomhive Manor. With that, Ciel feels he has a much deeper connection with his beloved servant. Hopefully, he never has to speak of the feelings that run deeper than their current master and servant relationship. His affections stay hidden, but his infatuation is ever present in his gaze...
