The mood in the Control Room is heavy. You can feel the tension and cut it with a knife, given how worried everyone is. Elizabeth stands there, near the dialing console, Sheppard pacing back and forth in front of her, concern all over his face.

Sheppard turns to Chuck and tells him to try again, the gate technician dialing the gate at the nod from Elizabeth when he looks back at her, concern on her face as clear as day.

The gate connects and Sheppard's hand immediately reaches for his earpiece.

-"Major Lorne, come in." - He gives it a minute, waiting to hear his best friend's voice, but receives no answer. -"SGA2, come in."

Still no answer. Sheppard knows something's wrong. Evan is never late with his check-ins and he and his team are now two hours late. He looks back at Elizabeth and doesn't need to say anything.

-"Go."

He hears the gate shutting down as he touches his earpiece again, this time telling his team to gear up and to meet him in the Jumper Bay in under ten minutes, running out of the control room towards the locker room.

Elizabeth takes a deep breath as she watches Sheppard run out, hoping that maybe there's some interference on the planet that's messing with the radios, or that maybe Evan and his team just lost track of time and are too far away from the gate for the radios to reach.

She prays that nothing has happened to Evan and his team, before turning back to Chuck and seeing that even the usually very calm man is worried.
