Lara has had a bad feeling all morning and she couldn't shake it no matter how hard she tried. She thinks she is being paranoid, hazards of still working for the SGC on a regular basis, as she closes her office for lunch.

She walks over to her car, deciding she is taking the rest of the day off, since she doesn't have any more appointments, and that she will pick up Ava and have a girls only afternoon, smiling at the idea. But something makes her look over the booth of her car, seeing a black SUV parked across the street, the same SUV that she is sure followed her from home that morning.

Lara gets in her car and calls Jack, keeping an eye on the SUV, Jack picking up after the second ring.

-"Secure the line." - Now she's on edge, as she waits for Jack to say something.

-"Line secured. What's going on?"

-"Did you place a security detail on me?" - Her eyes don't leave the SUV.

-"No. Why?"

-"Then I think I'm being followed. I need you to get Ava and take her to the Mountain."

-"On it. What about you?"

-"I'll keep them busy until I hear back from you. I'll make my way to the Mountain then."

-"Lara, be careful and keep your phone close. Call me if anything changes."

-"I will."

Lara ends the call and starts her car. She knows she needs to buy Jack some time so he can get to Ava from the Mountain and then take her back to the Mountain. Doing the math quickly in her head, she knows that he will need at least forty-five minutes total, so she heads across town, praying that he can make it to Ava before anything happens.

Thirty minutes later and her phone rings. Checking the caller id, she sees it's Jack.

-"Hey. Are you back at the Mountain already? Is Ava okay?"

-"No, I'm still outside of Ava's school. Apparently, Evan sent an Airman to pick Ava up for a father-daughter lunch. Didn't he tell you?"

-"Jack, something's wrong. Evan would never pick Ava up in the middle of the day without telling me. I'll call you right back."

Lara doesn't give her brother a chance to answer as she hangs up and dials Evan's number, the man picking up after the third ring, his voice showing he is happy to hear from her.

-"Hey. Shouldn't you be working?"

-"Evan, did you send someone to get Ava from school?"

-"No. Lara, what's going on?"

She doesn't answer, panic starting to fill her whole body while she can still hear Evan's voice coming from her phone but not really knowing what he is saying. Lara drives like a maniac back to her house, hoping to find Ava there somehow. She parks her car and runs inside, searching every room and finding them all empty.

Desperation starts to rise within her, until she looks out the window and sees the SUV parked across from her house, anger now briefly replacing her desperation. She runs out of the house and beelines for the SUV, but before she can reach it, it speeds off, leaving her standing in the middle of the road. Lara lets out a scream and falls to her knees, thinking about what might be happening to her daughter.
