Jack is pissed, and it's clear to see, as he stalks the corridors under Cheyenne Mountain. He makes his way to the guest quarters, people stepping aside to let him through, no one wanting to get on his bad side.

He walks into one of the rooms, finding the man he was looking for sitting on the bed, his head in his hands.

-"What the hell were you thinking?" - Jack yells.

Evan looks up at him, his eyes red from crying, but doesn't answer. Jack is still pretty pissed, but he can feel his anger subsiding ever so slightly as he takes in the state Evan's in.

-"Well?"

-"I just wanted to see her." - Evan takes a deep breath, when he suddenly remembers something, standing up just as pissed as Jack is. -"Why didn't you tell me?"

-"What the hell are you talking about?"

-"I'm talking about the little girl that clung to Lara as if her life depended on it. I'm talking about the little girl that has my eyes. I'm talking about my daughter."

-"You saw her." - Jack swallows thickly.

-"I saw her. It might have taken me a minute to put two and two together, but I got there. She's mine, isn't she?"

-"She is. This was not how you were supposed to find out."

-"How was I supposed to find out then?"

-"It was supposed to be Lara's decision to tell you about her, once she was told that you are still alive and what happened to you. But you had to go off the railings and show up on her doorstep unannounced. Now she's left thinking that you were some sort of entity that took your likeness for whatever reason and I have to go and try to explain everything to an already really freaked out Lara." - Jack yells, seeing Evan drop back on the bed and sighing.

-"I'm sorry. I just wanted to see her. I didn't even realized what I was doing until the door opened and this little girl was standing there, looking up at me with my eyes."

-"You should've let me deal with this before you made a mess of things, but I can't really blame you for it." - Jack takes a deep breath. -"I'm gonna go and see Lara. I'll let you know how it goes when I get back."

Jack pats his shoulder, before turning to leave. He can understand why Evan did what he did. If he was in Evan's shoes, he would probably do the same thing.

-"Jack?"

-"Yeah?" - Jack stops just before he opens the door.

-"What's her name?"

-"Aveline, but we call her Ava."
