Lara is at home, a little one story home she found in Colorado Springs with Jack's help, going through the mountain of laundry in front of her. She thinks back on the last three years and on how much things have changed for her, as she starts folding clothes.
She no longer works directly with the SGC, now having her own little medical practice that caters exclusively to members of the military and their families, some of them even from the SGC. And if she's not in her office or doing house calls, she's at home most of the time, occasionally staying with Jack and Sam for a weekend or two.
Every Sunday, she has dinner with Jack and Sam, a little tradition she started as soon as she got her own place, and one she intends to keep for years to come. She enjoys the time she spends with them and loves seeing just how in love they are.
Even though Lara no longer works directly for the SGC, she still does consults whenever Janet needs help with a member of the Atlantis expedition or of the Daedalus crew, given that she is more familiar with some of the illnesses that exist in the Pegasus Galaxy than Janet.
Lara checks her watch and notices that it's time for a mid-afternoon snack. Making her way to her kitchen, hearing the TV playing some random kid's song, she smiles as she gets the peanut butter and the bread from the pantry to make a couple of sandwiches.
Halfway through, though, her doorbell rings and she hears little footsteps running to the door. She follows the footsteps and opens the door.
Who is standing on her doorstep almost gives her a heart attack.
-"Evan?"
