Aren't these flowers lovely? 👆 They somehow just remind of Saanvi and Manjiri.

It was the month of September and the pre-board exams series was imminent. For some even the entrance exams were nearing. It was Tuesday that day and Saanvi joined Manjiri for the lunch. Manjiri had brought her favourite aloo ki sabji. Saanvi smiled and took a bite.

The moment she took the first bite, Saanvi felt her tongue burning. She hissed and tried to take as much air as she could with her mouth while fanning herself with her hands. "What? It's not even that spicy, see," Manjiri said while taking a bite herself. Saanvi's eyes opened wide when she saw Manjiri sitting there calmly even after having that extremely hot food. "Maybe you can't eat spicy food," Manjiri trailed on while trying to hide a smile.

Saanvi, who never backed away from any challenge, took Manjiri's comment as a challenge and dared to take another bite. This time she ran back forth between the two opposite of the room, her hand on her mouth. Manjiri couldn't hide her laughter and began laughing out loud.

Saanvi feigned anger and said, "Yeah, laugh at me." But only she knew how much she loved this laughter. If she could, she'd sit there for days and listen to this particular laughter. It was like her favourite playlist on the Music App, she relaxed as she listened to this sound. It made her happy to see Manjiri in blissful state. Saanvi quickly popped the chocolate in her mouth and waved at Manjiri while leaving the class.

Manjiri shook her head as she watched Saanvi running here and there when the food was spicy. It really wasn't that spicy, just moderate but Saanvi had poor spice tolerance. When Saanvi pulled out the chocolate, Manjiri tried to stop her from eating it. But she never listened and soon Saanvi was engrossed in admiring the girl in front of her. She only stopped staring when the bell rang but Saanvi was already out of the class. Then something dawned upon her.

'Oh! I had eaten half the chocolate earlier in the morning....' Manjiri thought. Heat rose up to her cheeks and they turned to the hue of solkadhi. Stop that Manjiri, sometimes friends also share foods. But why did she feel this way? She was not supposed to feel this way, Saanvi, afterall, was a girl. Aargh! Her stupid, idiot heart. Why does it have to beat in this erratic manner?

A/N : Solkadhi is a refreshing drink usually made up of kokum and coconut milk.
I hope the transition between Saanvi's or Manjiri's thoughts or their dialogues do not confuse the readers. I try to segregate them into different paragraphs but if it gets too abrupt or something you could always point out.
Anyways, another interesting twist coming up soon. So, buckle up your seats and stay tuned. 🤗
