Manjiri woke up and immediately held her head with her left hand. Her head felt a little heavy, despite the fact that she had just arisen from a deep slumber, she just wanted to sleep again. She looked around and took in the unfamiliar yet weirdly comforting and safe surroundings. Manjiri realised that she was lying on a comfy bed, the duvets and the pillows were perfectly arranged on it. Her jewellery was neatly arranged on the side table. She lifted herself and walked towards the table. To her surprise, Manjiri found a tray containing some dish, a cup of tea, a note and a beautiful pink rose. She did not want to eat anything at that moment as she recollected yesterday's events; she'd maybe never see them again. A lone tear slipped her eye and she was again torn between her family who took care of her for eighteen years and this girl Saanvi who was her saviour. She'd be granted freedom, it was almost as if she were travelling through a dark tunnel and Saanvi pulled her out in the light again. Manjiri realised that she got goosebumps and she sighed.

Manjiri sat on the bed. She uncovered the dish, it was shankarpali, her favourite. When she ate one, she could not believe her own taste buds and then she took another one. Woah, Saanvi never fails to surprise me, the shankarpali were delicious, thought Manjiri. She sipped on the tea and instantly forgot all her worries and anger. She slowly and delicately unfolded the note. It read, 'Manjiri, I know, I understand it's tough for you. Just once, only once give me a chance to explain, if you want to go back then, you may. Trust me, Manju, I'm ready to support you through thick and thin. I hope you'll have breakfast. If you're angry at me, please spare the food at least. Always yours Saanvi.' Manjiri felt her heart flutter, and then she felt this Boeing 747 moving inside her and somehow it felt terribly good. She yearned to be close to Saanvi, she felt a weird tug in her chest and she knew she'd be calm only after she was in Saanvi's embrace. She sounded just like those teenage girls gossiping about their crushes in the restroom in school. She cringed at it but whatever she did, she couldn't control her feelings towards Saanvi, could she?

Manjiri looked at herself, she didn't know how long she'd been in that red, heavy attire which was for her wedding. She jumped from the bed and saw three doors. After much contemplation and finally settling down with 'Akkad Bakkad Bambe Bo,' Manjiri opened a door. Wow! Her incredible luck decided to play on her side and she entered the bathroom. She felt a little less like a zombie as she took a warm water bath. It was as if her worries, her anguish all washed down the drain. She came out and fumbled with another door to reveal a walk-in closet. Oh joy! Manjiri saw a note stuck on the mirror which read, 'Well, you could definitely pull out whatever you like. I know it's not your style but this is only till the time I get your clothes. Plus, the clothes here are all washed, so don't worry and you'll also find some new sets :-).' Manjiri smiled seeing the poor attempt at drawing an emoji. She looked further and pulled out an off-white hoodie and paired it up with grey joggers. Oh! How comfortable these were!

She looked around the bedroom and saw a guitar hung on one of the walls. The room had simple yet elegant vibes with a mix of whites, greys and blacks. There was a desk with some books, a headset and a PC on top of it. Manjiri went over to it, she saw a lot of tiny shells, conches and old coins neatly arranged and their count was also recorded. Manjiri chuckled in her mind. But then something caught her attention. It was a notebook with a slightly hard and tough cover, the cover was adorned with various handwritten texts like,

and some words of foreign language including, 'Arcanus .' She opened the book to reveal a page full of signatures. Then she turned towards the page where a pen was kept. She lightly traced her hand over the beautiful writing. But Manjiri lost it to her curiosity and she impulsively decided to read it as well. The last entry was made that morning. In the realm of beautiful curves and the dark ink, Manjiri found something unusual. Saanvi had written, 'Well......

3) Arcanus - It's of Latin origin and it means, 'secret.' (People well versed with the language can ofc put their insights.)

Make sure to read the next update to find out what Saanvi had written in the book. 🤗
