Saanvi snuck out to the nearest cafe, which was actually at a considerable distance of a few kilometers. She got two cups of cold coffee, and a pastry from a bakery. She needed something strong so she requested a chicory, Arabica and Robusta mixed coffee. She drove her SUV at 160 km per hour. She didn't care about anything that moment, her heart was on the verge breaking apart. Somehow when she crashed on the accelerator, it gave her a weird kind of relief but still she couldn't stop thinking about a certain someone, Manjiri, the young lady who stealthily took her away from herself.
Saanvi smirked slightly as the needle in the speedometer shifted towards the right. She herself didn't know how many kilometers she had travelled. Then suddenly, she applied the brakes and pulled the handbrake. She opened the door and went outside, preparing herself for whatever was coming up ahead.
Saanvi met with a strong punch. She looked up to see Rishi and his gang. "You called for this idiot," she shouted as she threw a fist at the guy. Rishi and Saanvi had studied from the same high school, back then they were rivals and at the end of the highschool years, he asked out Saanvi. She rejected him which infuriated him. Later, when he found out about Saanvi's true self, he mocked and jeered her. She was, of course, unaffected. But then he didn't stop there and created a number of obstacles and she crossed them all. "You came earlier than expected, you old *******," Saanvi couldn't stop cursing and showed him the right place.
After about fifteen minutes, Saanvi was again set on torturing the poor accelerator. Suddenly, she realised that it was late at night and her phone was not with her. She tried searching for it in the car. Thank goodness, it was safe in the backseat. But another long string of frustrated curses left from her mouth. The battery was completely discharged and she just wanted to call Manjiri and tell her that she'd be late and that she shouldn't worry. Apart from that a lot more was hidden inside her heart, which she couldn't tell Manjiri.
Manjiri was waiting for Saanvi, since she had to tell something important to her. She had seen her earlier in the ceremony but that was it, and since then she went missing. Also the SUV was not outside. Manjiri was really worried, she knew that Saanvi drives carefully, but if her weird side comes in, she'd break the speedometer of the car. Manjiri tried dialing Saanvi's number multiple times but it was apparently 'not-reachable' or 'switched-off.' She could not focus on anything, she could not even sleep without Saanvi being there. She was angry but more than that she was worried.
At about 1:00 a.m. Saanvi reached back. She was stunned to see Manjiri in the middle of the room. "Where were you Ms. Saanvi? Is this the time you come home? You could've at least made me aware of the fact that you'd be roaming about the streets, but look, you didn't bother to do so and I was worrying about you like an idiot," Manjiri scolded Saanvi. Saanvi placed the key and the takeouts on the centre coffee table. She then removed her jacket slowly, very well aware of the intense glare on her. "I am asking you something Ms. Saanvi," Manjiri said in a dead serious tone. Saanvi hated it when somebody used 'Ms.' or 'Miss' before her name and she knew that Manjiri was deliberately doing so. "Will you answer me now, Ms. Saanvi?" Manjiri questioned her again. Saanvi just rolled her eyes and calmly replied, "Why do you care? Tell me, Manjiri, why do you care about me?" Manjiri was overwhelmed.
"Why do I care, huh? I am insane. Without thinking about anything, without caring about your feelings, about the society, I committed a big, huge crime. To care about you was wrong? To care about someone so special, because of whom I have my hope alive, who gave me new wings to fly high, who supported me selflessly and wholeheartedly in everything I did, to care about such a charisma is wrong? You ask me why I care, here's your answer, I love you a lot.........." Manjiri quickly covered her mouth with her hands when she realised what she was rambling on and on.
A/N : So, finally Manjiri has confessed her love. What will be Saanvi's reaction? What about the wedding next day? Will the two lovers be separated? Read on and find out. 🤗
