It was a beautiful, warm morning. Saanvi was dressed in a beautiful silk dress, while Manjiri wore her classic pink saree. They were heading towards the historical museum in the city. It was a weekday and not many people lingered around there. Saanvi has always dreamt that if a magical moment shall happen in her life, it should be in the vicinity of the past, it gave her a sense of comfort and rejoice. And for Manjiri, she loved the artforms the most. So, when they went to the museum, they stood in front of a painting and in their hearts, where they had already united, they just reaffirmed it, their union.
"Is this what you had imagined?" Saanvi questioned. "Uhm, no, not at all, but I like this more, because you are here," Manjiri said while looking at Saanvi, straight in the eye. "Cheesy much, are we?" Saanvi said with a glint of amusement in her eyes. "And who taught me this," retorted Manjiri, mischievously. "Ugh! You're difficult to win against," Saanvi said, feigning annoyance. Manjiri did her iconic hair flip, making Saanvi chuckle lightly.
They stood in front of a very famous painting. Saanvi had told Manjiri that she preferred simplicity, she never ever believed in elaborate rituals and that's why they stood in front of Manjiri's one of the most favourite paintings and a delicate artefact holding significance in Saanvi's heart. They held each other's hands. Soft smiles adorned both of their faces. They were getting united, heart to heart, they were promising each other to be together in beautiful and ugly moments, to share the endless eternity of eternities with each other.
Manjiri let happy tears flow down her eyes. Though she could easily reach up to Saanvi, she jumped slightly and placed a small garland of red, white and pink roses around Saanvi's neck. Saanvi reciprocated the same.
"Care to show me how to eat a candy floss, Manju," Saanvi asked once they were outside after promising each other love. "Well, Saanu, there's a lot to learn and share, I'll make sure that you do it well," Manjiri said while practically running towards the shop selling candy flosses. Saanvi realized that she felt as happy as when she titrated various solutions and obtained the desired colours in volumetric analysis. Love, she knew, was definitely more complex for her, but when she found it, it felt surreal and everyday she was making a new discovery. Manjiri saw that her life was more vibrant, maybe vibrant than the colours at the cotton candy shop. She loved it with all of heart, and the person who made this possible, her Saanu was right near her and knowing that both their hearts beat for each other, exhilarated her. Yup, she was deeply, madly in love with Saanvi.
A/N : Finally!! Saanvi and Manjiri are married now. And thus we have arrived at the end. I would like to thank all the readers for showering their support and love towards ATBPA.
I got the inspiration to write this from one of my friends who went through the same situation as Manjiri did minus the character of Saanvi. I felt terrible at that moment and I really wanted to do something but I couldn't intervene in her personal life as well. Now her problem is resolved and her family's convinced, and I'm really glad.
Since, most of the parts included what occurred around me, it's evident that it has a slightly personal touch, sometimes drifting off and away from the main subject.
Once again a big thank you for all those who read the story, who voted and commented.
Stay happy and blessed always 🤗
