It was Sunday. It had been almost two days since Saanvi had that argument with Manjiri. Saanvi woke up with a pounding headache. She had no energy to peel herself off from the bed. Her hair resembled a crow nest, messy and haphazard. Her face was little puffy and her cheeks burned. The temperature outside was blasting 40 degree Celsius but she was wrapped in three blankets. She laid back on the bed and sighed. She hated falling sick. She pulled out a Precox P tablet from her bedside drawer and downed it with some water. She ended up falling asleep again for God knows how many hours.

When Saanvi woke up it was already 2:00 p.m. in the afternoon. Weakness had overpowered her and the headache was persistent. She even got bouts of cough and that caused her head to be hammered more. She finally got off her bed and went to the restroom. *At that moment she needed a distraction from the intense ache which she experienced mentally. She clutched the thin glass tumbler in her hands tightly. She felt relieved when she heard a satisfying cracking sound and then she saw the red, warm fluid running down her hands. She looked at herself in the mirror and stared at the monster she turned out to be.*

Suddenly her phone let out a shrill cry. She knew it was her mother calling her. She picked up and put the phone on speaker mode. She washed her hands and bandaged it. She laughed internally at the roughly bandaged right hand of hers. All the while her mother kept on saying something. Then her mother asked, "Saanvi, are you even listening to what I am saying?" "Yes Ma, could you please repeat?" Saanvi heard a sigh and her mother began a long talk. "Listen you have to come for your cousin's wedding. What will people say if you don't come?" Saanvi sighed. After that she washed her face and warmed some water in the kettle. She did minimize the call window and opened the music app. She muted the call and closed her eyes feeling the music.

Her life was a complete mess. Saanvi thought that she was the monster who couldn't be loved by anyone. That's why Manjiri ran away from her. She was obnoxious. She should stay away from everyone. They all are good people, they care about her. But ultimately everything would end, she'd destroy it. She was afraid that if someone comes closer to her, they will get hurt, she thought, she was like a hedgehog. So, the hedgehog decided to stay away from this soft little bunny. Oh! Her heart wanted to stay with Manjiri, there was something which she could not exactly point out, whatever it was, it was so alluring. But her brain knew how bad everything will turn out. Saanvi was scared to fall deeper for this beautiful girl.

Next day was Monday. Saanvi was not at all interested to go to school. She kept lying on her bed till 6:45 a.m. and 10 minutes later the school bell would ring. She got out of her hostel room at 6:50 a.m. and reached quickly to the school. She was again stopped for being a defaulter as she arrived late. Saanvi smiled when she had to run five times around the ground. After doing so, she deliberately walked slowly as she moved towards her class. Once she reached there she pulled out two books from her bag and a pen and went towards the canteen area. Her stomach grumbled miserably considering she skipped her breakfast and ran the perimeter of ground five times. She kept her books on one of the tables and asked for a sandwich and a pastry complemented by a cup of Arabica variety coffee. She gobbled down her breakfast and went to the library. As she thought of it, she didn't want to attend most of the lectures, and the only reason for her presence was to maintain her perfect 100% attendance. Moreover, her heart ached everything she saw the person for whom she had those weird feelings and was trying to forget them all. Every time she saw Manjiri, her heart leaped and leaped and she feared it might even come out of the rib cage.

A/N : What do you think will happen now? Will Saanvi let go of Manjiri?
