Saanvi and Manjiri moved to the city of rush, the metropolitan city, Mumbai. Both of them were fed up with the weird stares which people gave, the unnecessary questions and intrusions. In search of a peaceful life, both of them chose to stay in Mumbai.
– Time-skip – A month later –
It was evening and Manjiri was sitting on the swing in the balcony, bathing in the amber sunlight as the orange ball began diving beyond the horizon. She was enjoying her favourite tea along with some biscuits. She was engrossed in thinking about a plot for the next chapter of her story. Manjiri loved weaving words together to form beautiful strings and melodious poems. She’d even try to rhyme it and when her Saanu came back home, she’d sing them for her. Manjiri would be home before Saanvi. And that day she couldn’t just wait to see her love home as she had a surprise for Saanvi.
Saanvi knew that day marked an important milestone of her and Manjiri’s life. It was March 6, the day when their Healthcare classes commenced and when the long, black braid, the euphonious laughter, the vibrant smile and positive radiance captured Saanvi’s heart, of course, it was Manjiri. Saanvi couldn’t believe all of this, Manjiri, her Manjiri loved her, she loved her, Saanvi couldn’t even form something coherent. All she knew she was sinking into the candy floss of love. Saanvi envisioned a perfect evening with her Manjiri.
Manjiri was lost in her world of poetry and how she’d recite them to her love, once she returned home. She had her back towards the door. Suddenly, she heard the balcony door click. She was scared. She saw the time a little while ago and it was just 5 p.m. The earliest Saanvi has ever arrived was 8 p.m. Who could it be then? Manjiri could even hear footsteps. She was startled when she felt a pair of hands covering both of her eyes, and surprisingly they were warm and somewhat familiar. Then she sensed a mesmerising fragrance, yup, that was it, she knew it was Saanvi.
“I don’t know how you do it, but everytime I think of having a little fun and playing a little prank on you, you already come to know about it,” complained Saanvi while stuffing her mouth with the biscuits. “You know, you did a good job as you came back early, I wanted to show you something,” Manjiri said. “Is it? What is it? I wanna see it, lemme see, is it a surprise?” Saanvi asked while jumping up and down like a kid. Manjiri asked her to calm down and told her that she’d be able to see her surprise only after they had the dinner. Saanvi sat down beside Manjiri and grabbed another biscuit. “Well, even I got a surprise for you, Manju, get ready, we’re leaving by 6p.m.” Saanvi said while dunking the biscuit in Manjiri’s cup and then winked at her.
Manjiri was baffled. Saanvi was the one who always left her on a cliffhanger. After being told that they were going out somewhere, Manjiri was curious and desperate to know where they’d be going. She quickly arranged her things and went inside. Saanvi was reclined on the couch and looked quite peaceful. Despite her number of attempts, Manjiri could not satisfy her curiosity, she was completely clueless about where they were going. She gave up and sighed dramatically while going to get ready.
It was a truly blissful evening, everything seemed on track. And why wouldn’t it? Whenever she was with Manjiri, her Manju, her love, Saanvi forgot the numerous endless strings of worry, the materialistic world around her collapsed and the only one who mattered was Manjiri. It was strange and weird for Saanvi herself.
A/N : New update, a progress towards the blissful life of Manjiri and Saanvi?
A change here, Marathi song 'Sajni ga bhulalo me, kay jaadu zhali hi.....' As you can guess the plot here goes a little romantic and affectionate, so, a language close to my heart.
Also, I would like to ask if the readers would like a question answer session, maybe the questions related to the plot or characters? Let me know.
