Chapter 48 - We're Growing Up

"Fuck, I forgot something in the car. I'll be a second. Hopefully Noahs still parked. You go on." I tell Sadie turning to leave.

"You're so forgetful Mar." Sadie laughs and continues to walk down to the river.

I walk back to the car as quickly as I can, hopping into the passenger seat.

"She buy it?" Noah asks and I nod.

"Pretty certain she did. This is either gonna be so perfect or she's gonna fucking kill me." I tell Noah who chuckles at me.

"So we just sit and wait?" Noah whispers as if Sadie's going to hear the secret.

"Exactly..."

"Will it take long?" Noah asks and I can't help but laugh.

"Probably not but we should let them have their moment. Give them some time." I reply and Noah smirks.

"So we have at least ten minutes?" He asks and I chuckle.

"Yes, atleast."

"Backseat?"

"Noah!" I squeal turning to him. "You for real?"

"Yeah, why not." He smirks at me. "Backseat." He whispers.

"What if we get caught?" I reply.

"We won't. I promise." He replies opening his door and I do the same meeting him in the back seat.

"You promise."

"Mhmm, I always keep them." He smirks as his lips crash onto mine.

This is so fucked.

"You guys have fun?" Folio smirks as I approach the group.

"Fuck off Folio." I reply walking towards them hand in hand with Noah. "Did you tell Folio?" I whisper into Noah's ear before we come to a stop.

"Someone had to keep look out, make sure no one came to get us." Noah replies sheepishly.

"You're so fucking annoying." I groan playfully not meaning it at all.

"Marrrr! I can't believe it! You fucking sly wee swine." Sadie squeals as she comes running towards me. "Look! Isn't it gorgeous!" She smiles at me showing me the ring on her finger.

"Damn, Nick did good. So I guess we're back together?" I say giving her a hug.

"Yes! He was serious! Thank fuck I hadn't booked that flight until Wednesday or I'd be gone." Sadie sighs going back to looking at her ring.

It's gorgeous an emerald cut diamond on a thin gold band. Simple but elegant, I don't think he could have picked anything that suited Sadie anymore.

"So you're coming home?" I ask unsure on the next part of their plan.

"Yeah baby I'm coming home!" Sadie giggles as Nick approaches us.

"Gangs back together." Noah chuckles and Nick hands Sadie a beer, they clink the necks of their bottles together unable to take their eyes off each other.

"Gangs back together. As it should be." Nick agrees with a nod and we walk down to the river where everyone else is hanging out.

Folio and Jolly are laying back on the blanket that we set up earlier whilst Bryan and Matt are fucking around in the stream. I take a seat on the grass and the others do the same. Noah leans back, his palms face down in the grass, his face tilted up to the sky.
