"She's with us now." Niko explains.
"She's Aquamarine." Hael deadpans.
"So?" Niko asks.
"So her loyalty lies with the government." Hael replies. They do realise I'm right here, right?
"Not anymore it doesn't. She's seen what they're capable of now. She let Emma go."
"She still can't be trusted." He says and I roll my eyes.
"Yes, she can." Niko argues.
"And now she's turning you against us." He says and I decide that I'm no longer going to stay quiet.
"I'm not turning anybody against anybody else. Nikolai is his own person." I state. "Look, we're all on the same team here. We all want a better world."
"No matter what you do, I'll never trust you." Hael states.
"Well that's on you then." I say.
"I want you out of my house." He states and I know he's fully serious.
I walk past him and through Nikolai's door. Even after I shut the door behind me, I can still hear their voices.
I start gathering my things to leave.
If I'm not wanted here then I'm not staying.
I don't care if I don't have anywhere else to go, I'll figure something out. I always do.
"She's not leaving." I head Nikolai argue through the closed door.
"She can't stay here. That's final."
"She's better with us than against us."
"And how do you know she isn't working as a double agent?" Hael asks.
"They tortured her." He states.
"She could be lying." He counters.
"She's not lying." Niko states.
"And how do you know?"
"I just do." He says. "If you don't trust her then trust me. I'll be responsible for her. Whatever she does, it's on me."
"That's a lot of reposiblility to take." Hael states before pausing for a few seconds. "You like her."
"It doesn't matter if I like her or not."
"You're clouding your judgement by being infatuated with her. It will be your downfall."
"I don't care." Niko states. "If you kick her out, I'm leaving with her and you know many others will join us."
There's a pause and silence lingers in the air.
"Don't say I didn't warn you." Hael says before the bedroom door opens and Niko walks in.
