What happens when the lines to right and wrong blur? When promises have to be broke...

"Um, Maliah." Niko says, walking into the room as I'm talking to Ruelle. "Sorry to interrupt, but this is important."
"What is it?" I ask, noticing the piece of paper in his hands.
"You've seen the film snow white, right?" He asks.
My eyebrows furrow in confusion. "Yes?" I answer, seriously questioning where this conversation is going.
"A bird gave me this." He says, holding up the piece of paper. "Before you laugh, I'm deadly serious."
"Now I'm even more confused. A bird just came up to you and gave you a note?"
"Zayden can control them." He waves the note. "This is from him."
Ok, that makes more sense now, but I still have a lot of questions.
"He just basically gave me an address to meet him at." Niko states.
"And you're sure it was him?" I question.
Niko shows me the note and points to the bottom. "That's the symbol for Orson." Zayden's alias. "Only the Rebels know it."
"Morana knows it, does she not? We have to assume she's working with the government, and therefore, they would know it too."
"They could." He admits. "But this is Zayden's handwriting, it has his symbol, and it was delivered by bird. They can't all be coincidences."
"They might not be. It might be a well thought out plan crafted by the government. They know the art of deceit well."
"I know. But I honestly believe that it's him." He states. I have a feeling he's clinging onto this being Zayden so much because of Hael's death. He doesn't want to lose another person.
Still, if he wants to go and find out for sure if this is his old friend, I'll support that decision and be right there beside him.
"I just- how did Zayden know where we were staying and why send a letter? Why meet us in a different place?"
"Maybe he doesn't want all guns blazing if he were to come here, especially unanounced. Also, he is probably being hunted down by the government and he can't afford to get caught by showing his face here. I'm guessing he wants to talk."
"And you want to listen to him." I say, a statement, not a question.
"Yes." He says.
"When do we meet him?" I ask.
"In half an hour, so we should probably set off now."
"Ok, let's go." I walk over to Ruelle, who is now immersed in conversation with Emma and tell her the news.
"I'm coming with you." Ruelle states.
"It would be better for you to stay here. We want as little people as possible just in case it's a trap."
