It all started with a superhero, one who vowed to help save the world and use her powers for good....But how can one keep a promise if they don't remember making it?
What happens when the lines to right and wrong blur? When promises have to be broke...

As I walk out into the graveyard, the cool air wraps around me.
I needed some fresh air. It's getting too crowded in there. We're all sharing a very small space. We're currently living there as there's nowhere else low-key to stay. We don't yet want to make the first move, we're underreprepared and don't have a full-fledged plan.
So here I am, just walking amongst the people that were taken too soon with the fresh grass at my feet.
As I walk along, my eyes scan each name and I think about how precious life is. Each person had a story. Each person had people who loved them. Each person was valuable. Each person had a life.
I stop when I see a familiar name.
What are the chances that the first person I couldn't save was buried here? Apparently, it's very high.
"Bex," the tombstone reads. "Loving daughter, sister, and friend."
I remember sobbing for weeks. I quit being a superhero, and I intended for it to stay that way. Ella, my best friend at the time, talked to Bex's mother and brought her to speak to me. She told me that I had to continue being a superhero, that it's what Bex would have wanted. She told me to do it in her honour.
I think about her every day.
I also think about the fact that if Ella hadn't done that, I wouldn't still be a superhero today.
There was only one way I would have recovered from that, and Ella knew it.
I sit down next to the tombstone, resting my hand along the engraved letters.
"I'll make you proud." I say out loud, hoping that she's listening. "I wish I could say I have everything under control, but I don't. I mean, nothing is ever easy, but why does everything have to be so difficult?"
"I should've come here sooner." I admit. "There are a lot of things I should've done, but I didn't. I didn't even know you were buried here." I state. "I've always tried to be a better person, but this time, I really believe it. It's not about changing, it's about growing. Learning. I've learned to live with the fact that I can't save everyone. The losses hurt like hell, but there's always someone else that needs saving. Most of the people that I save would die if it wasn't for me. I know that now." A weight feels like it's been lifted off my chest as I voice the words. I think I just gave myself clarity.
"Maliah." Niko shouts, running towards me.
I immediately jump up, ready to fight. "What is it?"
"You're going to want to see this." He states.
"What is it?" I ask again, walking after him at a fast pace.
"The news." He says quickly. I assume he's meaning on the tv that we found near a skip and we've managed to get it working in the abandoned house. The only problem is that the screen is practically fully black and white, I can see why the previous owners threw it away.
