"Maliah." Nikolai says for what feels like the hundredth time. His voice is so annoying. I have the sudden urge to punch him in the face.
He waves his hand in front of my face but I just continue to sit on the bed with my arms crossed refusing to speak to him.
Out of the corner of my eye, I see him roll his eyes.
"Maliah." He says, moving to stand in front of me again. I turn away.
"Jeez woman, what will it take for you to answer me?" He asks frustratedly and I'm sure he's trying to trip me up so I don't reply. He can't do anything to make what he did right anyway.
"Fine, you want to play the silent game then let's go." He says, sitting on a chair across the room.
Silence envelops the room.
After a few quiet minutes I have to look over to the corner of the room to check if he's still there.
He's sat back on the wooden chair with one leg propped up on his knee. He sits extremely still with his eyes fixed directly on me.
I can't help but notice how beautiful he looks from here.
His gaze doesn't falter from mine. Even as I look at him he doesn't speak or move a single inch.
As I look at him I start to feel something. Guilt plagues me.
I take my eyes of him and continue with the silent treatment as it's the only thing I have power over and it seems to actually be affecting him.
I honestly don't know why he cares so much. I'm actually kind of flattered.
"Talk to me blue." He says, losing the unspoken challenge between us.
"Why are you still calling me blue?" I ask, accidentally tripping myself out but I still lasted longer than him.
Now that he knows I'm not Aquamarine I thought it would've been the end to the nickname but apparently not.
"What's your favourite colour?" He asks knowingly. He doesn't say anything about me finally giving in and talking to him, I think he's scared that by mentioning it I'll stop.
"It's blue." I grit out. "How did you know?"
"I noticed that in a lot of your memories you were wearing something blue. You have a lot of blue scattered around your house too. I figured the nickname still works."
"I don't like you."
"That's progress from hate."
"Barely." I mumble.
"So are you speaking to me again?" Nikolai asks.
"You kidnapped me which means I live here for the foreseeable future whether I like it or not which means I have to talk to you whether I like it or not."
