The planet was thought to have been destroyed but we have reason to believe this is not the case. We don't think that Aquamarine knows but there's always a possibility that she could.
I turn over the page.
After extensive research, we're almost certain there's a portal somewhere out there. If we can find it we can prove any other theories we may have.
This is to be kept top secret. No one, not even former residents of the planet should know.
"Former residents of the planet" aka me.
I close the file over and sit in silence with my thoughts for a moment.
There's a portal...a portal that possibly leads to my home planet which may not have been destroyed. That's wild.
How many years has this portal been around and why haven't I heard of it before now?
I make sure to take the file with me as I leave the room.
I don't mention anything about the folder while we're in the hotel. Niko asks about it but I promise him that I'll tell him later. He's asked me if I'm ok a few times, I think it's because I've gone quiet. I'm just lost in my thoughts and what this could mean for me.
"So what was in the file that has you spooked?" Niko asks when we return to his room.
Instead of explaining, I hand him the file to read for himself.
I watch his reaction as he reads every word.
When he finishes reading he sits in silence for a minute.
"Did you know about this?" He asks, pointing to the file.
I shake my head. "I had no idea." I state. "But if my planet isn't destroyed then it means the bad guys probably took over and my family are probably still dead."
"Do you know where the portal could be?" He asks.
"I have no idea." I state. "Even when I was on Lavanem there was no talk of a portal."
"How did you get down to earth then?" He asks.
I pause for a moment.
I don't have an answer to that. I thought I did but I don't.
"I don't know. I can't remember." I admit.
"Do you think it's because they've wiped your memories?"
"It could be." I reply. "I still want to know, I want you to help me remember."
"I don't even know if my powers can work like that but I guess we can try."
He moves so that he's sat in front of me on the bed.
