Even after taking painkillers, the pain keeps me I'm tossing and turning the full night.

When I wake up in a groggy state, I realise that Nikolai is no longer in the bed. My eyes scan the room for any sign of him but he's fully gone.

As sit up on the bed, I wince at the sudden pain in my stomach and I'm reminded of yesterday's events leading up to me being shot.

I stand up and even though I can walk by myself, I hold onto things on the way to Nikolai's personal bathroom just as a precaution.

I shut the door and as I glance at myself in the mirror, I pull up my top to try and see the severity of the wound. It doesn't look too bad considering it was only yesterday that I got shot. I can add it to the long list of scars on my body that I hate.

I put my shirt back down and freshen up. I look as rough as you'd expect someone to be after being shot. I didn't bring any clothes with me so I just borrow some of Niko's.

When I leave his bedroom, the door automatically locks behind me but Niko gave me the security passcode to get back in if I needed. I've already stayed in this house before so I already sort of know my way around.

I really hope Selene isn't here but if she is, I know that I can take her. Water beats fire.

I try and make my way to the kitchen but I feel too fatigued to make it the full way without stopping. Around half way there, I sit on the floor with my back pressed against one of the walls and try to regain my breath.

I hear footsteps approaching but I pay no mind to them.

"Blue?" The familiar voice says and I open my eyes. "What are you doing out here?" Niko asks.

"I was going to get some food."

"You should rest-"

"I can't rest I'm in too much pain." I state.

"I could give you a massage?" He offers. "I mean I've not really given anyone a massage so I can't say I'm skilled at it but how hard can it be?"

I agree to him giving me a massage and he holds out his hand to help me up. Since I'm in too much pain to be stubborn or to put up a fight, I take it thankfully.

He leads me back to his bedroom. As we walk there, I notice he's walking at a slightly slower pace to accommodate me.

I sit on his bed and he leaves to go and get me some food. When he returns he tells me to lay down on his bed and he sits beside me. He pushes up my shirt before slowly massaging my stomach. He's careful not to touch anywhere near the bad part and in doing so, he helps ease the pain.

"This looks like it was painful." He says absentmindedly as he runs a finger gently along one of my scars. "What happened?" He asks and I freeze.

"You don't remember?" I ask.
