Emma manages to get us out of the house by smashing a window and pulling us both through it.

One of my arms rests on her shoulder and she helps support me as I try not to fall to the ground from the extreme pain in my left arm. I can still feel the scorching heat burning through my flesh. A burn continues burning until you do something to stop it. Some water would be good right about now.

I know Emma won't leave me and I can't die like this so I continue walking even though my body is screaming at me.

My eyes are trained on my feet, it's the only thing I can concentrate on right now. One step at a time.

I think I'm honestly scared of falling down and never getting back up.

My breathing comes out in short pants and I feel really hazy.

"What the hell happened?" I hear Niko say before he kneels on the floor to be in my line of vision.

"Are you ok?" He asks before realising I'm clearly not. "I'm going to pick you up and carry you, is that ok?" He asks and I give him a small nod, it's all I can muster.

He stands back to his full height before carefully and gently picking me up in his arms.

"Did you get everyone out?" I mumble, my eyes drooping shut but not actually fully closing.

"Yeah, everyone is alright." He states.

"Water." I say. "Take me to the water."

"I'm taking you to a hospital." He states as though I'm insane for even suggesting he should take me anywhere else.

"No. The government, it's too dangerous-"

"That's a problem for a later time. Right now you're hurt and you need to go to the hospital."

"The water can help me." I tell him. I've had many injuries before and I've found out that being in water seems to help my healing process. "I have superpowers, remember?"

"Trust me, I know." He mumbles.

After what feels like forever but simultaneously like no time at all has passed, we arrive at a body of water.

"What am I supposed to do? Just chuck you in?" Niko asks jokingly before walking in the water with me still in his arms.

He walks forward and with each step the water gets higher until it touches me.

The icy water in contrast to the fire's hot burn makes my wound sting even more and the pain intensifies.

Niko strokes my hair comfortingly. "I know, Blue."

After a few minutes, the excruciating pain is reduced to a dull ache and my grip on Niko's shirt loosens.

"Is it helping?" He asks.
