What happens when the lines to right and wrong blur? When promises have to be broke...

"Woah, what is this place?" I ask, looking around the mansion as Talia switches on the lights.
"My dad is in retail, and I know this place is for sale. You can all stay here as long as no one trashes the place." She states with her phone still in her hand.
"Thank you. I really appreciate your help."
There are over 10 bedrooms in the luxury house Talia is letting us stay in. Even though there are many bedrooms, there aren't enough for all of us, so we have to share and make do with what we have like we've been doing all this time. At least we're not going to be stepping on each other's toes as much here. The cramped living space at the cemetry was hell. This is definitely an upgrade.
"You should stay here with us." I tell Talia as everyone is moving around in the background, trying to get sorted out. She looks up from her phone, silently telling me she's giving me her attention. "The government are dangerous, and they could've gotten your face from cctv or anything really." She doesn't reply, so I add, "Robert, the shopkeeper, is staying too. It's the only way I can make sure you are safe."
"My parents will be worried." She says.
"They should probably stay here too, to be on the safe side."
"And what do I say to them? Aquamarine told me to come and get you guys, let's go?" She questions. "They're not going to believe me."
"I would go with you." I'm hardly going to make her go alone after telling her she's in danger.
She doesn't object to me coming with her. Although she doesn't show much emotion, she's probably scared after what happened earlier.
I inform the others of where we are going and tell them to stay here until our return.
Even though we've done a sizable amount of walking today, Niko insists on joining us.
When we reach her home, Taliah takes her key out of her pocket. I look around at the normal looking neighbourhood. With the shades of orange coating the sky, the scene looks like it's straight out of a painting.
Taliah steps in the house and we promptly follow after her.
"Anyone home?" Taliah shouts.
"Yeah, we're in the kitchen." A strangely familiar voice replies. My eyebrows furrow in confusion.
Where have I heard that voice before?
My feet move on their own accord, following as Taliah leads us to the kitchen.
I see a man chopping vegetables on a choping board and a woman setting the table. She picks up a glass and lifts her head, that's when her eyes meet mine.
My pure shock seems to be mirrored back at me. It's short lived though at the sound of glass shattering to the floor.
"Ella?" I say, confused at the reappearance of my former best friend.
