With my mind hazy, my eyes flutter open.

It feels like I've been sleeping for ages, but that sort of rough sleep where you still feel fatigued.

My eyes squint at the light seeping through the cream coloured curtains.

Where am I?

I rub my tired eyes and scan my surroundings.

No. Fucking. Way.

I sit up straight in the bed. My bed.

My room.

My childhood room.

What in the world is going on?

How did I get back here?

I try to recall the events leading up to me waking up.

I remember going to save the Rebels. We broke them out and fought some people from the government.

Then, if I'm not mistaken, we got to the door and that's all I remember.

So how did I get here?

Is this even real?

I've dreamed of being back here for years. This somehow feels different from all of my other dreams. This fully feels real.

I squeeze my eyes shut, willing myself to wake up if I'm asleep. I can't bare to lose this all again.

When I open my eyes again, the world around me hadn't changed.

I'm still in my old bedroom.

I pull off the covers and step out of bed.

I'm in the type of pjaymas I used to wear last time I was here only bigger.

My room is almost exactly like it was when I left it. It's almost as though no time at all has passed.

I make my way over to the window and draw back the curtains. I gasp at the view in front of me.

Earth has a lot of great views, but this view is something else entirely. I missed this place.

"Maliah." A familiar feminine voice says.

"Mom?" I ask, recognising the voice anywhere. I turn to see her and I'm frozen in place.

I never thought I'd see her again.

She looks as beautiful as ever, stood there in her long ball gown just like she used to wear when I was a kid.

"Oh my God, it's really you." I say, shocked before quickly running into her arms.

She hugs me back with just as much enthusiasm.

"I love you." I tell her. "I love you so much." There's so much I've wanted to say to her but that's all I can manage for right now.

"I love you too, kid, but what's with all this?" She asks and my heart drops.
