YOUR POV:

We sat in Norman's office, apologizing for the sudden meeting with him after he returned from his mission. "So, what did you want to talk about?" Norman smiles.

"Well, uh, there's...a lot," Emma stutters.

"But first, tell us your strategy. How do you plan on killing all the demons without anyone on our side getting hurt?" Ray asks as his eyes narrow, "a war?"

Norman perks up, "yeah! It's like you can read my mind, Ray!" He laughs a little, "by causing a war, I can get the demons to kill each other off."

"S-So then the pawns—!" Emma starts.

Norman smiles with a nod, "they were demons. I went to form an alliance."

"Norman, isn't this dangerous?" I quietly ask, "what if something goes wr—."

"It won't," Norman assured. "The demons have a hierarchy and at the top is the royal family and the five regent houses."

Emma gasps, "they were the ones who made Lambda!"

Norman nods, "they run the farms, supply and control it all. There are some demons who don't agree with how the higher ups handle the meat, farms."

I cross my arms, "and who did you meet with?"

"A former aristocracy family, the Geelan Clan. They were framed for a crime they didn't do seven hundred years. They were banished to the same status as those who are not allowed to eat human meat." Norman explains, "historically, they should be like all the other beasts, but they have been in hiding and waiting for the day they can get their revenge. They steal from farms and towns to survive."

"If this goes correctly, then nobody on our side will die. Besides, this plan is all about deception. I won't lose," Norman declared. "This is all about preparation. We'll win without spilling any blood."

"Did you know Norman? There are two demons who don't eat humans," Emma admits.

Ray nods, "yeah, if there were a lot of demons like that, your plan will fall apart."

Norman gave a look of shock, "how do you know about that?"

"Huh?"

"Where did you hear that?" Norman demands, getting increasingly more irritated with each second. "Did you see her..? And meet her..?" Norman now looked a bit scared, "there's no way that the clan of the evil blooded girl is still alive..!"

"How do you know about her?" I counter, "cuz you seem one second away from losing your sh*t."

"I've only ever heard of her existence through stories," Norman explains. "They say she has never eaten a human, and maintains her form and intelligence. Her date of birth and origin are unknown. But she's been confirmed to be around seven hundred years old. At first, she appeared in a starving village as a savior. She was able to offer her blood and just with that, the demon that drank her blood could be like her."

Emma gasps, "then that means that if other demons drink Mujika's blood, they can all survive!"

"After that, rumors went around and it went up the ladder of the hierarchy. And so, the higher ups investigated it. They found those who had drank the blood and killed them," Norman concludes.

"Wh-What? Why?" Emma asks.

"They feared her," I say. "If the higher ups are in control of everything, and if those who drank the blood don't need human meat anymore, then there's no need for a hierarchy. There's no need for control."
