A/N: actually cooking with my Todoroki family psych essay
YOUR POV:
Norman brought us to a house where we would all be staying. I couldn't help but feel indebted to him. He had no reason to do this for us, he could make us sleep outside in the forest for all he cared.
Norman smiled at everyone's reactions, "you can use both this building and the one beside it. Supper will be ready soon as well."
"Thank you sir!"
Norman noticed Yvette, Rossi and Jemima all staring up at him with frowns. He crouched down, "what's wrong?"
"Well..."
"It's just..."
"You're the boss right?" Jemima asks, "Hayato said you were like a god."
"A-And everyone was shocked to see you earlier," Rossi added.
"So what do we call you?" Yvette frowns.
Norman places his cheek into the palm of his hand, "hm...well, in front of a lot of people boss sounds better...but to Hayato and the others, I'm William Minerva." He then smiles, "but I'm still Norman. No matter my position and even if I grow taller than a house, I'm still Norman."
The door then opened with Hayato bringing Anna, Paula and Sandy in, just as Norman was being tackled by the younger kids in a hug.
I ended up wandering off to explore more of the house, but in reality it was just my way to get away from the group. I inspected each room carefully, and finally stumbled across one of the many bedrooms.
I smiled and walked in and flopped down onto one of the beds. Its softness was enough to make me not want to get up. I could lay here for hours. How long had it been since we slept in a genuine bed? Oh yeah...since the bunker days.
"You wondered off. I was wondering where you went," I hear Ray say as I hum. I hear him walk over and sits down beside where I lay on the bed, "I thought that maybe you went to go shower before supper, but Gillian said she saw you come in here."
"Tattle tale," I mutter.
"What's wrong?" He asks, "you've been off since we saw Norman."
I sit up, "everything is wrong! Don't you think it's weird that he's conveniently alive and well? Not only that, but he has this whole children's paradise? Plus his plan! Ray, his plan is insane!"
He blinks, "it's Norman. We should have known that he wouldn't have died easily. He's like a cockroach."
I paused and processed what he said before bursting out with laughter. "Did you seriously just call him a cockroach?!" I couldn't help but be tickled at that comparison, "why would you call him that?!"
He crosses his arms, "you can't get rid of him."
"Is that a bad thing?"
He shrugs, "depends on who you ask."
I shove him playfully, "you're so mean!"
He smiles, "yeah, but it got you to smile."
I huff and look away, "no. I'm still very upset."
I feel someone grab my chin as Ray brings me close to him. My cheeks begin to heat up at our closeness as my brain began to panic.
Is he fixing to kiss me?! Is this our moment?! Is this my first kiss?!
"Ow!" I whine as I pull away and rub at my forehead, "why did you flick me?!"
He leans back, "because you're stupid."
