【999: Abandoned. 】
Maybe it was because the pain was too severe, 999's words didn't sound real. The voice seemed to come from far away, yet it seemed to be right next to his ears. Shen Ran turned over in pain on the operating table and rolled off. After the zombies broke in, they all stood where they were, and no one dared to step forward.
"ah--"
Shen Ran growled in his throat and clutched his clothes in pain. Veins on his neck bulged and his face flushed red. He curled up and rolled on the ground in pain, and blood was all over the floor tiles. It was as if something was crushing and reshaping his internal organs...over and over again, until he was in so much pain that he no longer had the strength to cry out.
Finally, Shen Ran lay on the ground. His body twitched twice, blood gushed out of his mouth, and his handsome face was full of pain. He grabbed the ground so tightly that even his nails were almost cracked. He didn't even feel it and fainted from the pain.
I don't know how long it took, but when Shen Ran woke up again, he subconsciously looked at the wounds on his body. Sure enough, the wounds had healed, but the remaining scars could not be eliminated.
His body was covered with scars, which was shocking to look at, but Shen Ran had gotten used to it and didn't take it to heart.
He struggled to prop himself up and sat on the ground. There were no zombies here anymore, and he didn't know where the zombies had gone. They must have escaped. Shen Ran found it funny when he thought of this.
He raised his hands and tore off the loose bandages on his waist, abdomen and chest and threw them aside casually. When he was leaving the hospital, some zombies noticed him, but they pretended not to notice anything and moved away for a distance.
"Is it so scary?" Shen Ran whispered.
He found an SUV that was still drivable in the underground garage. In fact, there was a zombie in the SUV, but it went out from the other door.
【999: Go find the target?】
【Shen Ran: Not going for now.】
He has other things to do.
S City had indeed fallen. The air was filled with a suffocating smell. The appearance of Shen Ran, a human being, on the street seemed a bit abrupt, but there was no living person in the city, so he didn't need to worry too much.
"Level eight." As if he realized that something was staring at him, Shen Ran stopped the car, turned his head and saw a little zombie sticking its head out from the corner, as if looking at this side. He recognized at a glance that this was the one that had bitten him in the operating room.
He did not drive them away and continued driving to the abandoned military base.
S City was a big city before the end of the world. The weapons and equipment here can be said to be top-notch, but almost all of them have been looted. He did not avoid other zombies this time and went straight to the training ground. Although there were probably no survivors in the armory, these zombies had them. Shen Ran walked over. The zombie wanted to avoid it, but it was unavoidable and stood stiffly in place. After Shen Ran took the gun from his waist, he whispered, "I'm sorry."
If possible, he wouldn't want to be like this, but the world is forcing people to live unsustainably.
He found a lot of weapons and equipment in the military base, as well as a military Hummer. After driving out, he opened the map. Fortunately, it was still usable. He chose to go to City A for video recording and prepared to go north to the base.
