As the daughters of a very wealthy business tycoon, the flying wasn't a new or unfamiliar thing for them. They have gone the trips and stayed in many countries to date. When she was nine, she remembered going to the Maldives with her family for a cozy vacation. The journey enthralled her, to say the least. The feel of the plane gliding and then lifting on, till the vision would only show the surroundings as small blocks; that was one of Andaleeb's favorite things to see. Waiting for the in-board meal and then leaving it in between because she could never like it.

That was the rapture that she got by being herself. She always wanted to be in the limelight. And then always wishing for the window seat and ironically, always getting it. She got what she wanted all her life. She was more pampered and loved by her parents than Daneen hence her wishes were their command.

Except this one wish and that was Aurang. That wish wasn't anything odd. She had asked for many complicated things in the childhood and she got them without waiting for more than a few hours. But here she had to pose to be happy when in reality, a havoc was sprawling inside her veins.

She sighed as she darted her attention to Daneen who was currently sleeping. Her brown hair was falling over her forehead and her lips were in a pout as she was soundly sleeping. How happy was she with this arranged marriage while on the other hand, Andaleeb herself felt zero ounces of excitement for her own? She loved her sister but she knew they were way too different from one another.

Her fingers fled from her sister to her own hand where the diamond of her engagement ring was making faces on her. Before she used to wear the one gifted to her by Aurang but now she had to replace it with the one given by her fiance for the sake of making an appearance. She clenched her jaw before pulling out the delicate ring out of her finger. She was going to have a new beginning in New York. A different life that was coated with freedom and a right to live like she wanted.  This ring was like a rope of responsible, forced, and unwanted relationships for her. She wanted to come out free from it even if it was just for a few days.

Andaleeb got a dire need to throw the ring away but she kept it inside her jacket's pocket.

For once, she wanted to feel free out of every obligation and enjoy herself.

After many hours, the plane finally landed at John F. Kennedy International Airport. It was the afternoon when they landed. The sun was giving an orange appearance all over.  When they got out of the plane, she finally breathed in the cold and nice air of the surroundings. It felt surreal and amazing to be here. There was an incredible sight of early dawn flickering over the horizon. Birds were chirping around and the low rumble was created by the voices of children playing and elders talking. The sliding glass doors were welcoming the incoming passengers. They too headed towards it for the next necessary steps.
