Since Lisa and Carla got together. Over the years Lisa and Betsy have both realised how toxic Becky really was.
The arguments she would start. How she would make Lisa feel. How Betsy realised she tried her best to put a barrier between herself and Lisa.
Her name started to be brought up less. They missed her less. They celebrated her birthday less.
They all reflected on Becky on the anniversary of her 'death'. But it was a bitter sweet day.
Betsy knew Carla was a far better mother than Becky ever was. And Lisa knew Carla was a far better wife than Becky ever lost.
For one Carla never emotionally abused them.
And Two.
She never faked her own death like the woman stood opposite Lisa and Carla.
"Well this is a good welcome home" Becky smirked.
Lisa's expression never changed.
"This is the part where you hug me and tell me you've missed me"
Lisa let out a snort.
"You're supposed to be dead. Why are you not dead?" Lisa questioned. Already getting a bad vibe from Becky.
Lisa had not missed this arrogance from her supposedly dead wife. The type where she expected Lisa to drop to her knee for her.
"Well you see..." Becky started. "Actually can I come in. It's not safe for me out here"
"Absolutely not your not bringing danger into our home" Carla put her foot down.
Carla had seen her two girls go through the realisation and emotions of realising the type of person Becky Swain was. The hearty break she had caused both dead and alive for two of her greatest loves.
"I'm sorry who are you?" Becky instantly took a disliking to Carla.
To be honest Carla felt the same.
"Ha. I'm her wife. Half of the owner of this house" Carla smirked. A hand coming to rest on Lisa's back.
"Ahh Snap. She's my wife as well" Becky smirked.
"No. You stopped being my wife the day you left us" Lisa hissed.
"Wow. And I thought you'd have been moarning me" Becky huffed. "Seriously can I come in?"
Carla looked to Lisa who gave her a slight nod. They led her into the house knowing they both and their daughter had questions for Becky.
They walked into the living room where Archie was sat playing on his iPad in his chair and Betsy was in the kitchen.
"I'm gonna call Ryan see if he can take Archie for a hour" Lisa smiled to her wife.
She stepped into the conservatory then Betsy looked up.
"You want a tea mum?" She smiled.
"Yeah sure" Becky answered.
"I was talking to my mum not you Becky" Betsy rolled her eyes.
God she really is my daughter Carla thought smiling as she walked over to Betsy and wrapped her arm around her.
"Tea please baby" she placed a kiss on her daughter's temple and sat herself down on the stools.
"Mumma! Archie have tea?" The boy looked up at his iPad not even paying attention to the new woman in his home.
"Is he yours?" Becky questioned. Looking down at the little boy.
"Yeah he's ours" Carla smiled.
"So you are gonna leave him with Lisa when you eventually run off"
Carla's hands turned into fists. Just as her wife turned in.
"Mummy I want tea" the boy said again this time to his blonde mum.
"He's very you doesn't even acknowledge you Lisa." Becky smirked.
"Oh no I'm mummy Carla's mumma" Lisa smiled as her son ran to her.
"Who's your favourite? I bet it's this brunette here" Becky already trying to cause issues.
"Don't talk to him. Don't involve him in your games" Lisa grumbles
"Archie love mummy and mumma thissss much" the boy made his arms as wide as her could and then placed a kiss on each woman's cheeks.
Ryan tried to come though the front door but it was locked so Betsy grabbed her brother and took him to Ryan explaining they where having a sleep over together.
Becky turned to Lisa crossed arms scowling at the brunette. "How long you been shagging this one for then?"
"That's got nothing to do with you" Carla answered first just as Betsy walked in.
"Ooo she's controlling" Becky smirked.
"Absolutely not. You don't get to come back after what 8 years and talk about my family like that" Betsy started.
"Your family? I'm your family Betsy. Not her" Becky pointed to Carla.
"You see that's where you're wrong. Carla has been a far better mum to me in the last 5 years than you ever have. She treats me like her own. She loves me. And she certainly never would walk out on me." Betsy was angry. Both Lisa and Carla could see that.
"Give me one reason why mum shouldn't arrest you right now for faking your own death?" Betsy had started to square up to Becky. Clearly affected by her return.
"Bets. Baby. Calm down" Carla walked over to the girl and moved her away from her not so dead mother.
Moving her to the sofa and pulling her in for a hug. Betsy immediately started to cry.
"Because I'm being followed by a gang." Becky defended her self. Totally not reading the room.
"What!" Carla turned to look at her. Lisa let out a huff. Crossing her arms on the kitchen island.
"You mean to say. You're being followed by a dangerous gang and you decided to bring them right to our door step. G why didn't I welcome you home sooner" Lisa yelled.
