Rehearsal is usually dreadfully boring, but with Michelle not able to teach us right now, it means that Emily has to take over. I would've asked to take the rehearsal instead, but I'd rather witness Emily doing it.

Plus, I still don't want to bring too much attention to the fact that I'm now the dance captain– I still can't figure out why Michelle gave it to me anyway.

"Everyone, get into your starting positions; I want to see what Michelle started so I can work from there." Emily says us as she walks into the room.

I immediately find my place on the floor, standing close to the back, as that's where Michelle had placed me. She was in a terrible mood that day, so she wasn't really thinking straight. And as Emily watches me walk back there, an immediate look of confusion appears on her face.

"Uhm... Richelle, Summer? What are you both doing back there?" She asks, the whole room looking over at us.

Richelle replies, "This is where Michelle put us."

"Yeah, these are our spots." I add.

Emily takes a moment before saying, "Interesting..."

And then she says, "Well, I'll take that up with her. I don't think the both of you should be back there."

Richelle has clearly had enough of all the bullshit that's going on around here. "Finally, someone said it!"

And then Emily goes back to what she was originally saying: "Anyway, just go through the dance, and I'll make some adjustments if needed."

We run the dance quickly. And when I say quickly, I mean it takes us ten seconds before Emily is caught up to where Michelle left off. Let's just say Michelle is extremely slow when choreographing nowadays

"Is that all?" Emily furrows her brows as she turns off the music.

Lily speaks up. "Yeah, Michelle hasn't gotten much done."

"But it's been a month of rehearsals already."

Richelle decides to speak once again. "Yeah, that's what we've all been saying. She's too distracted. I wonder why..."

I can immediately tell that Richelle is trying to worry Emily but, thankfully, Emily doesn't seem to pay attention to it.

"I'll have a word with her about it, okay? Thanks, Richelle." She quickly brushes it under the rug. "Let's just get back to what's more important right now."

Emily then walks closer towards the mirrors, taking a second to look at herself, and adjusting her black leggings, before beginning to attempt to add more to the dance.

"Okay, so I'm thinking we go like this-." She demonstrates a move that she'd like to add, bringing attention towards her ass in the process.

I can't look away, and I'm noticing that others can't either...

Oblivious, she continues, "And then go down like this-."

I'm starting to realise that this is a better sight than any of the pornos that I have saved in my files.

"And then..." she then turns to face all of us, "I'll change your formations. Does that sound good?"

Kingston speaks, "Yeah, that sounds good." followed by a quiet laughter coming from all of the boys.

They really are so childish, it's ridiculous!

Henry's eyes meet mine and I immediately give him a look to show that I'm not pleased with their behaviour. To this day, he always listens to me, and I see an immediate change in the way he's acting. He's stupid to let me continue to have a hold on him.

I watch as Emily then turns to face the mirrors again. "And I'm thinking you could do this to get to your new formations."

A loud whistle is then heard by everyone in the room, snapping everyone's heads in the exact direction it was coming from– the boys.

"Seriously?!" Richelle is disgusted by it. "Can we not do this right now? You're such a bunch of freaks!"

"Sorry." Finn tries to irritate her further. "Don't cry."

"Grow up." Richelle rolls her eyes before walking further away from them all.

I can now see that Emily is starting to feel awkward and has clearly caught on to what's going on.

She says, awkwardly. "Uhm, okay, so if you can all just go over that a few times until you've got it. And, if there's anything you want to add at all, feel free to do so."

I give her a quick smile before she continues to speak. "I'll just be at the front of the room watching you all, so if you need me, then I'll be right there."

And as I'm focused on watching Em, I don't notice Amy approaching me, starting a conversation. "Looks like we'll actually get something done today. You know, this is how rehearsals should always be! Michelle just brings drama, and we don't need that right now; she's erratic!"

I defend her slightly. "I'm sure she's trying her best. But, yeah, I like how things are today."

Amy then brings up the boys' childish behaviour. "I don't like how the boys were acting, though. I mean, did you see Finn acting like that? He's being an actual cunt! I'm gonna smack the shit out of him later, I swear to God. Oh, and if he thinks he's getting sex tonight he's actually crazy!"

I giggle as she walks off, "Good luck, girl."

"He's gonna wish he kept his mouth shut today." She says.

I giggle.

"I'm sure he will."

As soon as she walks towards the other girls, my attention is then turned towards Richelle. I immediately take notice of her blank stare, and I realise that it's directed at Emily.

She looks lost in thought, looking at her deeply, an almost sad look on her face. I find it weird, but everything Richelle does is weird. She has always had a weird relationship with Emily, though, one she never really talks about.

I think she feels betrayed by her as Emily had once promised her the world. And when Michelle took control, Emily didn't do anything to stop it. Richelle was, rightfully, disappointed in her.

Then, I quickly look away when she notices me staring. I really don't want her thinking that I'm up to something because it'll only start a full-blown argument in Studio A.

I then take a look at Em, realising that she seems quite panicked. I can tell that she's nervous about stepping up as choreographer whilst Michelle isn't here, but she's doing an amazing job, and I'm so proud of her.

And, because I want her to know that, when she looks at me I give her a thumbs up to assure her that she's doing great. I can see that she appreciates my support.
