I bring my arm across my face as I try to block the light from my eyes. There are so many people here tonight, and Michelle was right, the party is invitation only. There's even security at the front entrance, and I can't help but notice how sketchy the whole thing feels.
"Michelle." The man standing at the entrance says as he notices her.
"Mark." Michelle smirks, "Fancy seeing you here."
"Very funny." He replies with, emotionlessly.
"Now, do you have your passes?"
Michelle smirks anxiously, "You know me, Mark. When do I ever have a pass? You know, I would've thought that you'd do me a favour considering the things I've done for you."
Richelle and I exchange looks. I don't want to know what Michelle means by that.
Mark checks around the room, almost like he's making sure that no one sees this, before saying, "Alright, but you don't mention my name if you get caught."
"Never!" Michelle giggles loudly, "Why would I ever do that?"
"Just don't." He warns her.
In a serious tone, she says, "I'm not going to."
"Just let us in, you freak!"
He then moves to the side slightly to allow us to walk past him. Michelle struts with a smirk on her face, Mark looking at her. He then moves on to looking at Richelle and I, and he doesn't look too thrilled about us being here.
I give him a quick smile to try to seem friendly, but he continues to stare at me with a blank look on his face.
"Rude," I mutter.
We enter the main room where the party is being held, and I look around. Michelle looks mesmerised, and if it wasn't for my bad mood tonight, I would be enjoying myself. There's just something that's lingering in my head that's making me feel uncomfortable.
"Holy fuck!" Michelle gasps, "This is insane! It's exactly what I needed."
"What do you think, girls?" She then asks us.
I pause before shouting over the loud music, "Uh, yeah, g- great!"
She replies, "No, it's amazing! You can say it's amazing!"
"Yeah, it's pretty good."
Michelle then grabs hold of both our hands, dragging us further into the room. "Come on, girls!"
She stops in the corner of the room, a smirk on her face as she begins to rummage through the bag that she brought with her. Richelle and I look at each other, a confused expression on our faces.
Michelle then pulls out a small container with pills inside. "Here, have one of these each."
"Uh, no, no, no." Richelle shakes her head, looking uncomfortable. "I'm not taking those."
