"Okay, so I want the two of you to be on your best behaviour today." Emily warns us, "I want no gossiping or messing around. Today is about watching other teams dance. It's important so that we can see what sort of things the judges like and what they don't like, and then we can adjust our routines if we need to."

"The both of you have your notebooks, don't you?" She asks us, Richelle and I both raising them in the air.

"That's good."

We follow her to a quieter area of the foyer. She has us writing things down in our notebooks, whatever she thinks is important. I'm just pretending like I care about this sort of stuff. I don't know about Richelle though; she actually looks interested.

"Anything you see that you think could possibly be useful, write it down. I want to see those pages full at the end of the day."

Richelle then decides to ask "And what are we actually doing today?"

Emily replies, "Well, since we're not competing until tomorrow, we're going to spend the day observing other dancers and looking out for ideas for our dances. Anything that we think we can add, that sort of stuff."

She continues, "I'm going to split us into two pairs today. Richelle, you will be with me, and Summer, you will be with Michelle..."

I feel uneasy when Emily announces that I'll be paired with Michelle today. After last night, I don't know where we stand. The last thing I remember was her kissing me and how she moved against my body. After that, it all became a blur, and I don't remember a thing.

But I look around and I don't see Michelle anywhere, so I decide to ask Emily about it. "Uhm, Emily. Since I'm being paired with Michelle, wouldn't it be useful for her to be here? Is she coming today?"

She nods, "Uhm, yeah. She's just going to be a little late."

"Oh..."

Richelle then starts to speak. "You're seriously telling me that I'm going to be with you today? Like, all day?"

"That's what I said, didn't I?"

Richelle groans, bringing her hands up to her head. "This is seriously a nightmare!"

"Well, I'm sorry, it's just how it is." Emily says to Richelle "The both of you might want to sit on your phones, gossiping, texting god knows who, but it's important for you to actually utilise your time here."

"Yeah, whatever." Richelle rolls her eyes.

I wouldn't have been mad about this if I had been paired with Emily instead. Actually, spending an entire day with Emily is my definition of perfect. The two of us could've sat somewhere quiet in the audience; I could've reached for her hand and then reached underneath her dress...

But I don't think I'll be doing any of that with Michelle.

"Richelle, why don't we go and find a seat in the audience? Judging will be starting soon, and I want to see that notebook full."
