Emily called me in today as there's something she wants to discuss regarding the studio. I did wonder why she needed my help, but I wasn't going to complain, as I love being in her company.
I walk into Studio A, and I immediately see her in the middle of the room. She's staring up at the mouldy ceiling above with a perplexed look on her face.
"You wanted my help?" I ask her enthusiastically.
"Oh, you're here. Great!" She smiles at me. "Yeah, there's just something I've been meaning to sort."
"You've noticed the ceiling, right?" She points above her.
I nod. "Yeah, hasn't everyone? It's not like you can miss it. It's like a big black cloud above my head every time I dance."
"Yeah, I'm gonna do something about it," She announces. "I've actually called someone in to take a look at it. I called him, and he offered to help, so I thought why not."
I'm glad that Emily has called in a professional to take a look at the ceiling. Honestly, it's really starting to smell bad in here. Every once in a while, I get a whiff of something decaying up there– I'm sure it's nothing, though.
"It smells like something is dead up there," I tell her.
"It's probably just a rat or something," She says.
I giggle. "Or a person..."
She seems a little freaked out by that. "Ew, shut up! I- I don't wanna think about that."
I decide to change the subject, as the thought of someone decomposing above our heads clearly isn't something that Emily wants to think about.
"So, who did you call?" I ask her, as I'm actually quite intrigued.
"Oh, I called–." She attempts to speak, but the sound of two voices coming from the opposite end of the room distracts her.
"Summer! Emily!" I hear the voice of one of my old teammates.
I turn my head and I'm surprised when I see Jacquie and Noah approaching us. My eyes widen in shock. I haven't seen the both of them in almost two years! Michelle practically forced them out of the studio after Jacquie went full-on crazy in Studio A, accusing Michelle of lying about something serious.
Unfortunately, I missed the whole thing, though. Jacquie can be very scary when she's angry, and I was told that Michelle was actually frightened.
"Jacquie?!" I shout. "What the hell are you doing here?!"
She immediately embraces me in a hug before saying, "Emily called in Noah to help with something, and I couldn't let him come here without paying everyone a visit myself."
