Daniel can see her face drop and gets worried.
"Are you ok?" He asks her and she quickly puts her smile back on her face.
"I am, I just don't want to talk about my parents tonight. I'd rather enjoy my time with you." She wraps her arms around his neck, getting even closer to him.

He is careful not to let his hands go too low, so he rests them in the small of her back.
"You can put your hands lower if you want." She whispers in his ear.
