Daniel can feel the sun peeking through the curtains straight into his face.
He groans, not wanting to wake up from the dream he was having. He had his face buried between the legs of a beautiful blonde and she was crying out his name in ecstasy.

When his brain starts to wake up he remembers that it wasn't a dream, it was exactly where his face was last night and that beautiful blonde is in bed with him.

He turns to his side, stretching his arm to pull her back against him, but all he feels is an empty space next to him.
His eyes shoot open and he sees what he already felt, Ayla isn't there. He quickly sits up, the covers sliding down his naked body and he looks around in the room. It's empty and quiet, too quiet. There's not even a sound coming from the bathroom where he hopes she might be.

He rubs his eyes to wake himself up a bit better and looks on the pillow next to him. There's the shirt she was wearing last night when they went to sleep, neatly folded as if she was never here.
He picks the shirt up and holds it under his nose, there is all the proof he needs that she was really there. Her scent is in every fiber of the shirt and he inhales deep to fill his nose with it as well.

"Where the hell are you Ayla?" He whispers to himself.
He decides to get out of bed to see if maybe he can find her somewhere.
Her dress and shoes are gone just like her purse, which fills his stomach with a feeling of dread.

On top of his luggage he sees a white piece of paper. It comes from the notepad of the hotel itself and reluctantly he picks it up.
On the note he sees Ayla's flowing handwriting saying:

'I'm sorry. Last night was amazing and I'll never forget it. I'll never forget you, but I can't stay. There's too much going on in my life right now. I want to thank you for giving me last night. You'll forever have a special place in my heart.
X Ayla'

He reads the note again and then falls back on the bed. He only had one night with her, but why does he feel like he has lost something very important. Someone very important.

Ayla came home around four in the morning after sneaking out of Daniel's hotel room. She didn't want to leave like that, but she also couldn't stay. He gave her something that she will cherish forever, but now she has to go back to reality and apologize to her parents for her behavior last night.

She will have to face the truth about her mother and she decided that she is going to take care of her. Going to college can wait, her mom needs her and she needs to be with Bianca as much as possible. Especially with her dad having to travel a lot for work. Time has already been cut short and not knowing how long they will still have together is gut wrenching.

When she comes home she puts on more comfortable clothes, she is tired, but her head is spinning so she knows she won't be able to sleep. She did sleep for a few hours in Daniel's arms which were some of the most peaceful hours of sleep she ever had. But when she woke up she knew she had to go and that broke her heart.

With Daniel it felt good. It felt natural and she knows if they had the possibility, something could have grown between them. Not just the physical part, they already found out they work well in that aspect. But she feels like she could have formed a connection with him on a deeper level.

She flops down on the couch, her body a delicious type of sore.
Thinking about Daniel and the things he did with her brings a smile on her face. Amy always told her sex was ok, but last night was mind blowing. It was the most wonderful experience she ever had and she will never be the same again after this.

But that one night is all they will have. She won't be going to races in the coming years. Not as long as her mom needs her. So chances are she will never see Daniel again. Except on tv, of course she will still watch the races, she just won't be there physically.
