"What do you mean right now? We can't get married now right? I mean there's so much to be arranged, your family isn't here, my f.... Well never mind. But do you want to get married without your parents?" Ayla is in complete shock.

Is he serious? She is still processing the fact that he just proposed to her and they are now engaged. But he wants to get married right away as well. It's super romantic, but she isn't sure if he really thought about it.

"I called my parents, they think it's amazing and we can still do a small ceremony later with everybody there. I... I didn't contact your brother or father, should I have?" He is now not sure if he fucked up by not calling her family.
"No they won't care."

She looks around, the beach is beautiful, this entire place is paradise. Getting married here and now would be a dream, but aren't they supposed to take over a year to arrange everything?

They don't have a cake, no guests except for Seb and Melissa and of course Aziz and Mariana. Is this how she wants to get married?

But then she listens to the waves as they wash over the shore and the birds in the trees and she realizes that this is perfect.

There's no pressure, no media, nobody who has an opinion. Getting married here, right now is in fact an amazing idea.

She only has a few people that she would have loved to have with her on such a special day, one won't be there no matter when or where. Her mom will never be able to see her get married, so it won't matter if they do it now.

Amy will understand, she will love this for Ayla that's for sure. Tina as well, she's hopelessly romantic, so she would love how Daniel went above and beyond to arrange all this. Christian will understand. Surely he and Geri would have wanted to be there for her, but if they will do another ceremony at some point they can celebrate it with their loved ones there.

"So what do you say? Do you want to do this today?" Daniel asks, anxiously awaiting her answer.
Maybe he pushed his luck. Maybe the proposal should have been it.

He just felt that it would be the perfect way of getting married for them. This island has been such a healing place for the both of them, they fell in love with the beauty and the peace here. So taking this step here felt right for him. But maybe he was wrong and it's not the right thing for her.

Maybe she wants a big wedding at a gorgeous venue, with a massive cake and a wedding dress. Maybe she wants a lot of people there and a big party afterwards. He didn't think she would, but he could be wrong.

She finally looks up at him after what feels like forever.
Her face lights up in a smile that takes his breath away.

"Let's do it. I want to marry you and I want to marry you right now."
He can feel the weight being lifted off his shoulders when he hears her say those words.

"Yeah? You want to?" He asks as an extra confirmation.
"Absolutely. It's perfect. I love you and I want nothing more than to spend the rest of my life with you. Life is short, so why not make the most of it."

He wraps his arms around her and lifts her off the white sandy beach.
She quickly puts her arms around his neck and his lips find her in a kiss that is filled with love, excitement, relief and joy.

"Hey! You have to wait with that until he says you can." Seb shouts, making the few people around them burst into laughter. Including Ayla and Daniel.
"Right, sorry. So we're doing this?" He asks one final time.
"Yeah we're doing this. Just one question. Will this marriage be legal?" It wouldn't matter to her, they can still make it legal in the UK or Australia.
