Karen sat in her car at Dorinda's house waiting for her to get out, she was fetching her for rehearsals because Dorinda asked that she picks her up.

A few weeks passed since she found the truth, and things were still a bit awkward between them but Karen could tell that Dorinda was trying really hard to mend their relationship.

"Hey" Nikki said to Karen over Kierra's window, she came from the house cause her mom told her to tell Karen that she'll be out.

"Hey Nikkia" Karen smiled greeting her.

"Hi Ki Ki" Nikki said and she put her head inside and kissed Kierra as Kierra laughed

"Mom says she'll be out in a minute." Nikki said and she started walking away.

"Wait Nikki... how are you?" Karen asked her.

"I'm okay, why?" Nikki asked Karen.

"You seem off... I just wanted to know." Karen said.

"I'm okay." Nikki told her.

"You know you can come to me for anything right?" Karen said to her.

"Do you tell all your nieces and nephews that or am I an exception?" Nikki asked.

"Nikki-" Karen started but she cut her off.

"It's okay, mom told me that you made it very clear that we're just that and I totally understand... not holding it against you at all." Nikki said to her she has been trying to reach out to Karen and Karen would keep it casual with her.

Karen could see her hurt as she said what she just said to her, she couldn't help but feel bad... she didn't want to get her hopes up and everything because inside she was still mad although it wasn't Nikki after all that Karen was mad at.

"You were just spiteful a minute ago." Karen said to her .

"I should get back." Nikki said avoiding what Karen just said and Karen got out of her car.

"Hey... come here." Karen said to her, Nikki walked over to her and Karen hugged her.

"Anything I mean it Nikki, I'll always be here for you." Karen said as she hugged her and Nikki nodded. She wanted to be recognised as Karen's sister but she wasn't going to make it about her... Karen was the one who's life was shifted so she didn't want to be insensitive.

"It's fine Karen." Nikki said and she finally pushed Karen off of her playfully.

"What happened to aunty?" Karen asked.

"Apparently?  You're my sister" Nikki laughed walking away and her mother came out their door.

"You okay?" Karen heard Dorinda ask Nikki as they passed each other.

"I'm fine mom" Nikki said.

"Hey come give me a kiss " Dorinda told her and Nikki went over her to kiss her cheek. "I love you." Dorinda told her daughter.

"Bye mom!" Nikki whined and Dorinda rolled her eyes, that's the most that she got ever since her little girl was a teenager.

"Hey Karen." Dorinda said getting in the car.

"Dorinda how you gon ask for a ride and still proceed to be late?" Karen asked ignoring her greeting as she started her car.

"I'm sorry." Dorinda said and Karen rolled her eyes.

"You're going to have to find a ride back also... I'm not bringing you back." Karen said to her and they drove to rehearsals. Dorinda looked over at the back and she greeted playing with Kierra.
