Artemis sleeps through the night and she gets up to see that Dick spent the whole night on the extra bed. She smiles, feeling something she hadn't felt since Wally died.
She leaves her room and turns on the TV, she channel surfs until she sees Granny Goodness.
"There you are, I was afraid something happened to you," Dick says coming out of Artemis' room.
Dick's phone rings.
"Hello?"
"Mr. Grayson, this is Dr. Eaton with Gotham Veterinary," the female voice says.
"Hello Dr. Eaton, how is Brucely?"
"He will live, but there are a few things I would like to talk to you about."
"Okay, I'll be right there," Dick says before hanging up.
"Is Brucely ready?" Artemis asks.
"Yes, but the vet wants to talk to us," Dick says.
Artemis turns off the TV and gets up.
They take the elevator to the main level and they walk to the valet desk.
"Here are your keys, Mr. Grayson," a red head girl says.
"Thank you Kelsey," Dick says as he takes the keys from her.
They leave the valet desk and walk to his car. Dick opens Artemis' door and closes it before going to his side.
"Relax, Dr. Eaton is the vet Bruce uses for his dog," Dick says seeing Artemis looking worried in her reflection in the window.
"Bruce has a dog?"
"Yep, Ace."
They arrive at the vet.
"You ready?" Dick asks after parking.
"Yes," Artemis says as they get out.
"Welcome to Gotham Veterinary," the lady at the front desk says.
"We are here to pick up Brucely," Dick says.
"Yes, I will get Dr. Eaton," the secretary says getting up.
"Dick, Artemis," a male voice says from behind them.
"Hey Alfred, Ace," Dick says as they turn around and the German Sheppard goes up to him.
"I heard about the break in, are you okay Miss Artemis?" Alfred asks.
"Yes, but I'm not so sure about my dog," Artemis says.
"Mr. Grayson," Dr. Eaton calls.
Dick and Artemis turn back around and follow the vet into the back.
"Fran, can you please get Brucely and meet us in exam room 2?"
"Yes Doctor," the vet tech says.
"Is everything okay?" Artemis asks as they walk into an exam room.
"The injuries he sustained aren't bad, but I did notice some bruising around the neck," Dr. Eaton says putting an x-ray up.
"Here you go Dr.," the vet tech brings Brucely in and the dog sits between Artemis and Dick.
"Do you know what happened? I can't imagine either of you being abusers, especially when Brucely isn't afraid right now," Dr. Eaton says.
"The inhibitor collar," Dick realizes.
"A what collar?"
"It's a collar used at Belle Rev, Artemis' ex-boyfriend put it on Brucely, the collars aren't supposed to be used for animals," Dick explains.
"I have a restraining order against my ex, so he can't be anywhere near me and since I have Brucely he is safe," Artemis says.
"Good, I just wanted to make sure you knew about it," Dr. Eaton says.
"Thank you," Dick says as Artemis takes the leash.
"April will give you the bill," Dr. Eaton says as they walk to the front.
