"What was the mayor talking about?" Wendy asks as she and Artemis watch her get into her limo.

"Dick's office, don't want to worry the public," Artemis quietly says to her assistant.

They walk into the office and Artemis closes the blinds, Leah nods knowing that it is a signal for nobody but heroes to go in.

"J.O.W," Artemis says being able to access the League's system.

"What's going on, why is the mayor so mad?"

"The Court of Owls is the oldest crime syndicate in Gotham and extension Bludhaven," Artemis brings up the group's profile.

"That doesn't explain why she is mad."

"I was getting to that, they use assassins called Talons, a scientist named Doctor Leviticus created Electrum, a special alloy that gives Talons immortality. Dick is on his way to a space station called 'God's Garden'. It is a place with many dangerous experiments, plants, and weapons. That is where Leviticus is now, she has created an antidote to counteract Electrum, but it will immediately kill the Talons, Dick asked the mayor's mother to have someone do it," Artemis says.

"So she was mad because she doesn't want her mother to be involved," Wendy makes the connection.

"Yes, but I had to remind her that it would be bad for her reputation for her to be the one that activates the gas."

"I never realized how many tough decisions the League makes," Wendy says.

"It's true, I mean you guys are out in public which has pressure in general but the League has to think what is best for everyone, even if it means going against what we believe in."

There is a scream coming from outside.

Artemis pushes the button with an
R on it and takes out two comms.

"What was that?" Wendy asks.

"I don't know, but I'm not a member of the Outsiders, take this and go, I will change and meet you out there," Artemis says giving Wendy an ear comm as she puts in her own.

Wendy nods and runs out of the hotel.

Artemis rushes to the apartment and tells Freda to open her closet.

"Tigress, it's Granny Goodness, she has a child, what should I do?"

"Find a way to protect the child, I will contact Superboy, Beast Boy, and Robin."

"Got it," Wendy replies.

"Freda, alert Superboy, Beast Boy, and Robin about the hostage," Artemis says.

"Yes Artemis, would you like Beast Boy to use the basement or apartment and leave from the balcony," Freda asks.

"Have him meet me at the apartment and we will go out the balcony," Artemis says as she changes.

"Beast Boy, D-01," the Zeta-Tube calls.

"You know Jeff is going you rip you a new one," Beast Boy says as he sees Artemis picking her weapons.

"I know but I would rather be ripped apart for saving a meta-human who is being held hostage by Granny Goodness than let the child be a pawn in a fight ring."

"Good point, but are you sure you can do this without Dick?"

"Positive, are you ready?" Tigress asks.

"Ready," Beast Boy says turning into a hummingbird knowing that the villain hates birds.

"Freda open balcony," Artemis says.

The balcony doors open and the two heroes head for the balcony.

"Everyone connected?" Artemis asks.

"Ready," each member comes into her ear.

"Get off me!" The girl says making the ground shake.

"Windfall," Artemis says.

"Already have one," Windfall says taking out an inhibitor collar.

"I'm not letting her go, she is the best one," Granny says.

"Windfall, what's going on?" Beast Boy asks as he sees Windfall struggling with getting the collar on the girl.

"It's hard to get it on her while Granny has her and the ground is moving," Windfall says.

"Beast Boy, maybe you could use your popularity to help Windfall," Robin says.

"How?"

"Out of all of us aside from Windfall you are the closest thing to a meta-human," Superboy says.

"But I got my powers from Miss Martian, not genetics."

"Blood is genetics," Artemis says.

"Okay," Beast Boy says transforming into a human.

"Garfield Logan?"

"That's me, but I need you to calm down enough for my friend to put that collar on you."

"Will it hurt?"

"It won't hurt you, but it will stop you from using your power. It will help us help you, but you need to calm down," Beast Boy says.

"Okay," the girl says before taking a breath.

The girl calms down and the ground goes back to the way it was.

Windfall gets close enough to put the collar on the girl.

Robin attaches a baterang to his grappler gun and shoots at Granny Goodness, forcing her to let go of the girl.

"Superboy, grab the girl and take her someplace safe," Robin says as he tries to restrain Granny Goodness.

"On it," Superboy says grabbing the girl and jumping onto the supercycle.

Artemis signals for Superboy to follow her.

"Where are we going?" the girl asks.

"Not sure, but the one thing I do know is that Tigress knows what she's doing."

They arrive at a building not far from the warehouse.

"Where are we?"

"Temp housing, it's where Windfall is staying, she said that until the Meta-Human Youth Center is complete they can stay with her," Tigress says.

"Makes sense, it would be good for them to spend time with the mentor," Superboy says.

"I thought that Taos was the only place with a Meta-Human Youth Center," the girl says.

"When Bruce Wayne heard about the Meta-Human Youth Center he suggested that each city that has a STAR labs should have one, he is funding all of it," Tigress says.

"Robin was able to cuff Granny and we came right over, is this my new roommate?" Windfall asks as she and Beast Boy land next to them.

"I guess so, my name is Zoe Green," the girl says.

"My hero name is Windfall, but you can call me Wendy," Windfall says.

"Okay," Zoe says.

"Let's go in so I can change and get you settled."

"Okay."

"Are you going to be okay?" Superboy asks.

"Yes," Windfall says.

"Okay, you know how to contact us," Tigress says.

Windfall and Zoe walk into the building.

"Are you okay?" Superboy directs the question to Tigress.

"Let's get back to HQ," Tigress says.

Superboy and Beast Boy nod, they and Sphere follow Tigress.
