Dick has a hard time sleeping the next few nights, even with the lavender Freda gave him in the middle of the night.
"Dick, it's time to wake up," Freda says Monday morning.
"Thank you Freda," Dick says swinging his legs onto the floor.
"Did the lavender help last night?" Freda asks.
"Not really, but that is because of how worried I am," Dick responds.
"I understand, Ms. Artemis is watching TV."
"What is on my schedule today?"
"Mr. Wayne has changed your schedule around, leaving you free for the week, but you do have an interview with Makayla Walters in your downstairs office for the personal assistant position."
"What time?" Dick asks getting dressed.
"11AM," Freda says showing him the calendar.
"Thank you," Dick says before leaving his room.
"Morning," Artemis says standing in the kitchen making coffee.
"Morning," Dick says walking into the kitchen.
"I asked Freda and she said you have the week off," Artemis smiles.
"Yeah," Dick says unenthusiastically.
"You don't seem happy about it," Artemis says.
"Sorry, I am, I just didn't get a lot of sleep last night."
"Then here, you'll need this sooner than I will," Artemis gives Dick the mug of coffee she just poured.
"Thanks," he says taking the mug.
"What do you want to do today?"
"We have that interview with Makayla, I really need to have Leah's full attention with work, especially since we're trying to establish a Meta-Human Youth Center in Gotham," Dick says.
"So they won't have to leave the state to get help with their powers," Artemis realizes.
"Exactly," Dick says.
"I'm going to get dressed," Artemis says heading to her room.
Dick starts watching TV.
"Black Canary, 13," the Zeta-Tube calls.
"Dinah, is everything okay?" Dick asks.
"Yes, I just want to check in with Artemis."
"She is getting ready, we have an interview for her assistant," Dick says.
"An assistant? Did she already find work?"
"No, we just thought it would help with making sure she has someone around her when I am at work."
"Dinah, I didn't realize that you were coming," Artemis says coming out of her room.
"I wanted to check in and see how you are doing."
"Good, I am taking some time away from the field and my job, trying to focus on me," Artemis says.
"Good, I have to check in on other patients, see you Thursday?" She directs the question to Artemis.
"Yes, see you Thursday," Artemis confirms.
"Black Canary, 13," the Zeta-Tube reads out as she walks into the tunnel.
"Dick, it's almost time for the interview," Freda pulls up a hologram of his daily calendar.
"Thank you Freda, are you ready?" Dick asks.
