"What happened?" Megan asks.

"It's just been, I don't know, hard, I guess. Grant wants me to be a stay-at-home mom," Artemis says.

"But I thought that you wanted to settle down and have kids."

"I do, but I'm not someone who likes to be told how to live my life, and I'm definitely not one to stand by when I know I can do something."

"I sense you are giving me a fake story. Artemis, we have been friends for years; you can trust me," Megan says, putting her hands on Artemis'.

"Okay, we had a fight about the letter; he asked who it was from and then when I brought up Wally's name," Artemis stops in the middle.

"He took it away and put his hands on you," Megan notices Artemis' red arm.

Artemis nods.

"I had to go. But I can't completely leave him; I love him."

"Artemis, you don't love him; you are going back to the kind of love you had as a child."

"I know."

Artemis starts to cry in shame.

"You can stay as long as you need," Megan offers.

"Thanks," Artemis says, taking her bag and heading to the spare bedroom.

Connor comes back in and Megan starts a psychic connection.

"Dick left; is everything okay?"

"No, it's bad; she isn't safe in Star City," Megan doesn't lie to her husband.

"I saw her arm; can I go beat him up?" Connor asks.

"No, even if it is to defend our friend, we can't use our powers in civilian form. The best we can do is keep Artemis here and if that asshole comes to find her, then you can beat him up."

"Okay, intruders only," Connor nods.

"Beast Boy, D-01," the Zeta-Tube calls.

"In the kitchen, Gar," Megan says.

"How was this year's memorial?"

"Each year seems to get harder on Artemis," Megan says.

"And it seems like each year makes it worse with Grant."

"Artemis!" A male voice comes from the other side of the door.

"Did I hear my name?" Artemis comes out.

"Artemis!" the voice calls again.

Megan creates a psychic link between the four friends.

"Get Artemis out of here!" Connor says.

"I can defend myself," Artemis argues.

"Like you have for the past few months? I know that there are wraps under your jacket, and those wounds weren't from missions; you're too trained for that," Megan says.

Artemis looks down at her jacket.

"Fine," Artemis backs down.

"Gar, Baby is in camouflage mode; I gave her the coordinates to where to take Artemis," Megan says, opening the back door.

"Let's go," Garfield becomes a gorilla, grabs Artemis, and runs out the door.

Baby opens the doors and they run into the ship.

"Okay, Baby, let's jet," Artemis says.

The ship uses the coordinates Megan sent it to fly Artemis to a safe place.

"Bludhaven, what can Dick do that I can't?"

"You really don't want me to answer that."

Baby opens her doors and both heroes walk out. Gar does a secret knock on the warehouse door.

"So he found her safehouse," Dick answers the door.

"Yep, Superboy is fighting him now."

"Wait, how does Dick know I use Connor and Megan's place as a safehouse?"

"I'm a detective, I do background checks on anyone my friends date."

"You did what?!"

"It was for your safety," Garfield says.

"I checked him out. Grant Moore is a pilot with a very lengthy record, but as you know, almost anyone can turn either way. I didn't want to believe it and I knew you could take care of yourself. But just in case the four of us had a plan to protect you. Wally asked us to protect you in case he couldn't help."

Artemis takes a breath.

"Thank you," Artemis tells her friends.

"I better get going; keep her safe," Garfield says.

"I will."

"Beast-Boy, D-01," the Zeta-Tube calls.
