"Babe, are you okay?" Artemis asks Dick as they walk through the apartment Zeta-Tube.
"Yeah, sorry I had to lie to your family, I just didn't want Lian to start asking questions," Dick says.
"It's okay, she is at that age where she wants to know everything," Artemis says.
"Let's open the rest of the presents, then maybe a little TV and relaxation before the League's Christmas party tonight," Dick says.
"Okay, go lay down Brucely," Artemis says to the dog.
Brucely walks to his bed and lays down.
They finish opening the presents and are watching TV when Artemis' phone rings.
"Garfield, are you okay?" Artemis answers getting up.
Dick continues watching TV but also listens to Artemis' end of the conversation.
"Yeah, you can come over, the Zeta-Tube is open," Artemis says.
Artemis is quiet for a second.
"Okay, see you soon," Artemis says before hanging up.
"Is everything okay?" Dick asks.
"It's better if he tells you," Artemis says.
"Beast-Boy, D-01," the Zeta-Tube calls out.
"Is everything okay?" Dick repeats the question but towards Garfield.
"I have a problem and Tim says you'd be the best person to talk to," Garfield walks over to Dick.
"What's the problem?"
"I didn't want to ask this tonight so I want to ask you now, how do you get through the holidays without your parents?" Garfield asks a tough question.
"So Tim told you about my circus days," Dick responds.
"Dick, that isn't important right now, Garfield is coming to you for help," Artemis redirects his emotions.
"I look for the qualities of my parents in others, Bruce taught me that money isn't everything and not to keep it for yourself, Oliver and Orin taught me how to treat women, and Dinah gives me the mother's love, but most importantly I look back on the memories I had with them," Dick says.
"I do the same thing when it comes to Wally," Artemis adds.
"Thanks, do you guys mind if I stay with you? The rest of the Outsiders went back home for Christmas and I really don't want to be alone."
"Not at all, go ahead, I actually had Bruce ask a friend of his to do something and I was going to give it to you tonight but I think you need it now," Dick says.
"Freda, ask Wendy to get the present from Dick's office," Artemis says.
"Yes Ms. Artemis," Freda says.
Dick sits down and puts his head in his hands.
"You okay?" Artemis asks going to sit next to him.
"Just reflecting on how stupid I've been, I shouldn't have let my emotions get to the point where Bruce had to pull the Todd card. The one thing the whole League taught me is that revenge doesn't equal justice," Dick says.
There is a knock on the door.
"Freda, who is at the door?" Artemis asks.
"It is Wendy Jones," Freda shows the security camera on the TV.
"I'll get it, you help Dick," Garfield says getting up.
"Thanks," Artemis says holding an almost crying Dick.
"I'm fine," Dick says.
"Wingman and Brucely don't think so," Artemis says as the two dogs walk over.
Dick picks up Wingman and the dog lays down on Dick's lap while Brucely takes care of Dick's feet.
"I was just passing Mr. Grayson's office when Freda notified me," Wendy walks in with a box.
"A little smaller than I expected," Artemis says as Dick passes Wingman to her.
"Well the big one isn't done yet," Dick says getting up and taking the box from Wendy and giving it to Garfield.
Garfield opens it and he sees a painting of him and his mom.
"How did you do this?" Garfield asks.
"Since Megan and Jon can change their appearance they were willing to help," Dick says.
"Thank you," Garfield says tearing up a little bit.
"You're welcome," Dick hugs Garfield.
"It is almost time for the Christmas Party at the Watchtower," Freda announces with a Christmas tree showing on the TV.
"Thank you Freda," Artemis says.
"Everyone change and meet back here," Dick says.
