"Artemis, you ready?" Dick knocks on her hotel room door.
"I've been ready," Artemis says walking down the hall.
"Let me guess, you were in the gym?"
"Yep, I thought that you lived at the warehouse, you know since it was the replacement after that thing happened," Artemis says.
"I may be over 18 but Bruce still takes care of me as if I was 13," Dick smiles.
"So, how are we going to get there?"
"Follow me," Dick says as they walk to a closet door that says employees only.
Dick puts his pointer finger on the first "E" of the employees only sign and then the door slides open revealing an elevator.
They walk into the elevator.
"You may want to hold on," Dick says before he pushes the "emergency" button.
The elevator does a fast drop and Artemis holds on to Dick.
"You good?" Dick asks as the elevator stops and the doors slide open.
"Yeah," Artemis says letting go of her friend.
"I forgot you haven't come to Bludhaven since before the incident, and with Grant keeping you on ball and chain you didn't see the news, like at all," Dick says.
"What incident?"
"Darkseid tried to make Bludhaven his base of operations, luckily the League was able to stop him and Batman convinced the United Nations to help rebuild the city, creating the hotel," Dick says showing her the news articles related to the event.
"Thank God the League has saved the Earth so many times they have an influence on the UN."
"We better get that ball and chain off you," Dick says.
"Tigress, B-07," the Zeta-Tube calls.
Dick waits until he knows it's safe.
"Nightwing, B-01."
"Where are we?"
"Basement of the LA Wayne Industries building, we just have to go up, and luckily everyone knows me," Dick says as they take another elevator to the main floor.
"Hi Mr. Grayson," an elderly secretary says as he and Artemis walk up to the desk.
"Hi Janet, is Jacob in?"
"He is in his office, go on up."
"Thanks," Dick says as he puts the folders and his equipment in the tub before going through security.
Artemis puts her purse on the conveyer belt and the items go through a scan.
They take an elevator to the third floor.
"Hi Mr. Grayson," a custodian says.
"Hi," Dick says.
Artemis tries to hide while they walk.
"You okay?"
"Am I doing the right thing? I mean I know we are in LA but Grant has friends here," Artemis says.
"Wally would want you to, he would make sure you're safe, he asked Megan, Connor, and me to keep you safe, and this is keeping you safe."
"Okay," Artemis takes a breath.
Dick walks through a doorway.
"Hey Sally," Dick says to the secretary.
"Hello Mr. Grayson," the secretary says.
"Is Jacob in?"
"He is on a phone call, but since it's you I'm sure he can call them back, go on in."
Dick and Artemis walk into the office where Jacob had just hung up the phone.
"Hello Dick," Jacob says.
"Hi Jacob," Dick says closing the door.
"Has the boss asked you to check in on the security breach last night?"
"I'm sure he knows what happened."
"So, what can I do for you?"
"Augustus said you could help us with a problem, a civilian problem."
"Please sit, I am all about protecting you guys," Jacob says.
Artemis and Dick take a seat.
"How can I help?"
"This is Artemis Crock, she will tell you the rest."
"Crock? As in Sportsmaster's daughter?"
"Yes, unfortunately his training couldn't help me recently. I have been in an abusive relationship and I'm ready to get out."
"Abuse is hard to prove when it's he said, she said," Jacob says.
"Good thing that we have evidence then," Dick says throwing the folders on the desk.
"Oh dear God!" Jacob says as he looks at the photos.
"Artemis!" a male voice comes from the other side as security guards chase the man.
"And here is the abusive boyfriend now," Dick says.
"How did he find me?" Artemis asks.
Sally gets up and tries to use her powers to keep Grant away from the door.
"Don't worry, I won't let him get you," Dick says getting in front of her.
"Give me my girl," Grant pushes Sally out of the way.
"Don't worry Dick, I got her," El Dorado says holding onto Artemis and teleporting her out of the room.
"How did you find her?" Dick asks keeping Grant in Sally's office.
"I gave her a gift recently, and I'm going to give you one now," Grant says charging towards Dick.
Dick uses his strength against him, flipping Grant onto his stomach so the security guards can cuff him.
"Great job, Mr. Grayson," one of the security guards says before they take Grant away.
