"He's been in there for almost two hours," Artemis groans.
"I hope he's not in trouble," Megan says.
A million thoughts go through Artemis' mind.
"Ms. Crock?" A female voice brings her back to reality.
"Yes?" Artemis asks.
"I'm Officer Davis and this is Officer Soto, we are here to escort you and your friends to Mr. Moore's house to retrieve your things," the officer says.
"Thank you, I would just like to wait for my friend before going," Artemis says.
"Of course," Officer Soto says.
"There he is," Megan says as Dick comes out of the courthouse.
"You're not in trouble are you?" Connor asks.
"No, Judge Petty was the judge who finalized my adoption, he wanted to see how I was doing," Dick says.
"We can go now," Artemis says.
They drive to Grant's house, where Will is waiting with a truck, and knock on the door.
"You aren't getting the dog," Grant says opening the door.
"Brucely," Artemis calls as they walk in.
The dog walks over and starts growling.
"Looks like he's having a few bad days," Connor says.
"No, look, he is wearing an inhibitor collar," Megan points to the dog's neck.
"Take that collar off my dog," Artemis says.
"No, I don't think I will, it keeps him in his place," Grant taunts, trying to make Artemis attack him.
"Artemis calm down," Dick says.
Artemis takes a breath.
"Connor, take the collar off," Megan says.
With one pull Connor frees the dog from Grant's control.
After the collar is taken off, Brucely runs to Artemis and starts licking her face.
"Down," Artemis says.
Brucely sits down.
"Will, why don't you watch Brucely while the rest of us grab my stuff," Artemis suggests.
"You got it," Will agrees sitting down and petting the dog.
The four friends take the boxes Will brought and go to her room to start packing.
After three hours of packing and making sure they got everything, they leave the house.
"Good riddance," Artemis says petting her dog as they drive away.
"How are we going to get these boxes to Bludhaven?" Connor asks.
"The LA Wayne Industries building has a Zeta-Tube in the basement, we can take it to the hotel and use luggage carts to bring them up to my apartment, I have enough room," Dick says.
"Perfect," Artemis says.
They take the Zeta-Tube to Bludhaven and Connor loads the boxes on extra luggage carts and takes them to the apartment.
"Kryptonian strength, gotta love it," Dick says as Connor puts down the last four boxes in the closet.
"Someone is coming," Connor says.
"Get ready, I've learned that some people from Gothem won't give up," Dick says.
Megan, Artemis, and Connor change and hide while Dick answers the door.
"Bruce, come on in," Dick says.
Bruce comes in.
"You three can come out now," Bruce says to the others.
Megan, Connor, and Artemis come out of hiding.
"Petty called me, why were all of you in Star City court?" Bruce directs the question to Dick.
"It was for me, I filed for a restraining order against my abusive now ex-boyfriend," Artemis says.
"Yes, Hobbs sent me the security video, he also told me that you were moving here. I just want you to know I'm proud of all of you, helping each other outside missions. A true family," Bruce says.
The four of them look at each other and smile.
"Artemis, if you need anything just let me or Dick know, we both have the power behind the scenes, I have it in the public."
"Thank you Bruce," Artemis says.
Bruce nods then leaves.
"We better go too, Johnny's birthday party starts soon," Connor says.
"Later," Dick says as they leave.
