Court is in Session

"I can't wait to get this over with," Artemis says as she, Dick, Connor, and Megan walk into the Star City courthouse.

"Hopefully the judge will grant the restraining order," Connor says.

"Oh, I know he will, Jacob Hobbs is the best in the business, that is why Bruce uses him," Dick says.

They walk into the courtroom where Grant is sitting with his lawyer.

"Great," Dick says.

"What?"

"That is Lexi McClain, she is so good that she got Penguin out of prison seventeen times," Dick says.

"You're kidding," Artemis says.

"I never kid about scum like him," Dick replies.

"Hello Artemis, Dick," Jacob says standing up.

"Hello," Artemis says.

"We are lucky, we got Judge Petty, considering your past with him, I was able to get a gag order and the gallery will only consist of witnesses," Jacob says.

"Thank you," Dick says.

"You know the drill," Jacob says.

Dick nods going to take his seat in the gallery.

"Wait, you're not going to be by me?" Artemis asks stopping Dick.

"You are the plaintiff, you are going to sit by Jacob while everyone on your side sits behind you in the gallery," Dick explains.

"We are all here for you, Sis," a female voice comes from behind them.

"Will, Jade, where is mom?"

"She is watching Lian, I don't think this is a good place for her," Jade says.

"Scumbag," Will says as he looks at Grant.

"We better take our seats, the hearing is about to begin," Jacob says looking at his watch.

Artemis looks at Dick.

"It'll be okay," he reassures her.

"All rise!" the bailiff calls.

Everyone stands up.

"The Honorable Reed Petty presiding."

"Be seated," the judge says.

Everyone sits down.

"Mr. Hobbs, plead your case," the judge states.

"Your Honor, my client is petitioning the court for a much needed restraining order, I call to the stand Jade Nguyen," Jacob stands up.

Jade walks up to the stand, is sworn in, and sits down.

"Miss Nguyen, how are you related to my client?"

"I am her older sister," Jade responds.

"Did she ever attend family functions while she was with the defendant?"

"No, my sister was never at a family function while seeing the defendant."

"Did you have any contact with my client when she was with the defendant."

"Yes, my sister and I loved Alice in Wonderland, so we would use characters from the book as code names, she would secretly text me the phrase that she was in danger."

"And what was this phrase?"

"Off with her head."

"The Queen of Hearts, very fitting, your witness," Jacob says.
