Artemis and Dick return to the apartment.
"I'm sorry I cried," Artemis says.
"It's okay, you never had people protecting you off the field, well except Wally," Dick says.
"Yeah, we need to talk," Artemis takes Dick's hand and walks him over to the couch.
Dick's worried because of her tone and them sitting down.
"You're not going to kill me for the meeting, are you?" Dick asks.
"No, actually I'm glad you had that meeting and thankful, thankful for everything you have done."
"I won't let anyone hurt you, especially knowing how long both can have a grudge," Dick says.
"I know, and I know that you didn't expect me to be kidnapped by those goons," Artemis says.
"So, what do you want to talk about?"
"Everything you have done makes me realize what Wally meant in Limbo," Artemis says.
"Wait, you have been to Limbo?"
"Zantana helped me contact Wally and give me closure."
"And what did he say?"
"He told me to live my life, to find someone that makes me feel the way he made me feel," Artemis says.
"Okay?" Dick lifts his eyebrow.
"It's you I want to be with," Artemis says.
"Are you sure?"
"Positive, I don't want to end up like my parents or my sister, I mean she isn't fully there emotionally," Artemis says.
"I may not look like it but I am really broken," Dick says.
"In case you haven't noticed, so am I."
Dick smiles.
"One of my favorite Lewis Carroll quotes makes me think of you," Artemis says.
"And what quote is that?"
"One of the deep secrets of life is that all that is really worth the doing is what we do for others."
"What does that mean?" Dick acts oblivious.
"You really suck at acting oblivious around the people you trust," Artemis says.
"It never hurts to keep trying," Dick responds.
"Anyway, it means that a life where you put people first is the best kind of life," Artemis says.
"You're insane for wanting to do this."
"Some of the best people are," Artemis smiles.
"How about we watch some TV and go out to dinner tonight? One tester date," Dick suggests.
"Sounds great, it is Friday night after all," Artemis agrees.
"Freda, make a reservation for 6PM tonight at The Royal Lantern for 2," Dick says.
"Yes Dick," Freda says.
