Josie had fallen asleep while Hope played with her son as time passed, he seemed to be enjoying himself. It was becoming dark but it was also rather cloudy so Hope was unsure about the time. The small Mikaelson boy was giggling then immediately stopped. Hope furrowed her eyebrows then her eyes widened when she heard a small crack. The boy lets out the loudest scream that shook Josie awake but caused the area's wind to pick up. Josie wrapped a hand around her son's small hand, pouring a bit of magic into him making him slightly calm until another bone broke.

"Hope." Josie called softly and Hope frowns.

"I know." She sighed and Josie rose her eyebrows.

"You know it's going to take longer than a normal wolf?" The brunette asked in shock.

"What do you mean?" Hope locked eyes with her fiancée and Josie sighed.

"Babies have 300 bones while adults and teens have only 206." She explained and Hope pouted.

"Why would you tell me that?" Tears fell freely from the auburn's eyes making Josie expression sadden.

"I thought you should know, please don't cry." Josie voice nearly broke in Hope's saddened state.

She wiped the auburn's tears and pecked her cheek, her eyes unknowingly glowing along with her sons as more bones crack. His cries felt like needles to the couple, it pierced their heart to hear their sun in so much pain and yet they cannot do nothing about it. It felt like agony waiting for their son's bones to crack and transform until his crying had stopped. Josie had to look away while Hope watched and more tears spewed out of her eyes.

"He's so..." Hope muttered.

"Beautiful." Josie finished but.

"Small. Oh." Hope blushed, clearly not on the same page as her lover.

"He's so cute, like a puppy. He did it Hope." Josie wiped their tears and ran a hand through her son's fur with pure admiration.

The puppy still had his heterochromia eyes but fur that matched Hope but had a brown streak going from his brown eye and to his right ear.

"I'm so proud of you little buddy. Can you walk?" Hope asked and the puppy yaps.

"No he cannot walk Hope, he's a newborn!" Josie stated.

"Aren't wolves born to walk as soon as they leave the womb?" Hope asks, dumbfounded.

"No!" Josie face palms herself.

"Oh." Hope set the boy down onto the grass and he does indeed try to stand but fails to do so.

"Nurture him." Josie commanded and Hope thought how to then it clicked.

"Oh okay, give me a second." Hope transforms immediately to a wolf and her wolf was fully about to jump out seeing her pup.

It was a struggle to control, but her wolf had managed to run around jumping of joy, wagging her tail and panting with her tongue out to show her excitement. The pup yaps again making it even harder to control the wolf.

"Wolf, sit!" Josie demanded and Hope whines. "No whining, you sit and nurture our son. Understand." Josie crossed her arms and the wolf actually nods before sitting and licking the new werewolf.

Nikolai tries to stand but Hope places her paw on him making both Josie and the pup squeal.

"Get your paw off him, it weighs twice his size!" Josie panicked and Hope scowls.

Another a few more attempts, the pup finally stands making Josie gasp and Hope's tail wag. They watched as Nikolai attempts to take his first steps and he succeeds making Josie jump up with joy and Hope jump around happily. Nikolai was about to run into a rock although not big to the couple, it was massive to the pup until Hope picked him up by the neck and placed him back in front of Josie.

"That was close." Josie huffed then bends down to rub her pup's head. "You are such a good boy, I'm so proud of you." She says making her son's tail to wag happily.

It felt like another hour before Nikolai was running around with Hope. Josie had fell asleep once more while they played until Nikolai had switched back randomly. The boy lets out a happy sound making Hope switch back also then a foul nose hit her. It had hit Josie to because she shot up with a disturbed face.

"How many bugs did you eat baby boy?" Hope fake gagged picking up her son who only giggled.

"I guess it's time to head back now." Josie yawned and Hope smiled.

"Yeah...I think it'll be a while but I'm ready for when Hayes transitions." She tells her future wife and Josie gives her a smile in return.

They vamp back to the school and sees Lizzie talking with Mg while holding a now awake Hayes.

"Oh, how'd it go?" Lizzie wondered and Josie lets out a big groan then collapsed onto her bed.

"She's tired, but it went well. Really well. I'm going to bathe him then hopefully he sleeps." Hope informs her best friend before going unto the bathroom.

Lizzie couldn't get another word in with her sister as the brunette is fast asleep and the blonde only giggles. Hope exits with a now sleeping boy in her arms as she walks over to the crib and places him down for him to sleep. She then also collapses onto her bed as well, not caring about showering for tonight.

"Seems like they had a long day and night." Mg lets out a chuckle and Lizzie nods.

"Quite the surprise that they are going to marry each other now." She smiles at the sleeping duo.

"Huh?" Mg asked and Lizzie blushes.

"Oh sh—shoot." She corrected herself and Mg jaw drops.

"They are engaged?!?" He asked in a whisper-yell.

"Shhh, don't tell them I told you and don't tell anyone else. They plan to get married after college." Lizzie sighed and Mg wanted to let out a squeal but decided against it.

Lizzie puts Hayes back into his crib before leaving with Mg back to her now singular room for some rest.
